Our Beach Haven Luxury Home is an outstanding home on over a landscaped acre with 180 feet of private sandy swimming beach on Lake Michigan and a huge backyard. The home has over 4500 square feet & features beautiful views of the lake & sunsets from every room. A grand entryway rising 27 feet leads to a large family room and a dramatic living room, plus a modern gourmet kitchen with all stainless appliances. Each of the six bedrooms has its own private bath. Two of the bedrooms have their own private jacuzzi tubs along with a patio that leads to the hot tub or lake. This home has a large outdoor heated pool, a 7-8 person hot tub, a wood built in fireplace & an outdoor gas grill piped into the house. Other features include a pool table, 8 large screen LED HD TV's, high speed internet , Wii Game System, lots of DVD's, board games, 2 refrigerator/freezers, beach chairs & towels, upper/lower decks with patio furniture, & air conditioning. Sleeps up to 16. Heat charge for the pool is optional and only applies to summer rentals.

Amenities: Optional Heated pool (June-Sept), hot tub, 2 indoor jacuzzi tubs, private sandy swimming beach, outdoor shower, fireplace, double oven, cook top, french door bottom mount refrigerator, 55 inch LED HD TV with a Wii. All bedrooms have 44' LED HD TVs and DVD player , pool table, high speed wireless internet access. towels and linens provided, outdoor gas grill, patio furniture, new washer/dryer, new appliances.

Beautiful views and memories

From the second you pull up and look through the front door you will realize how special the stay is going to be. We enjoyed a golf trip in the area and spent time in the hot tub, swimming in the lake, and making fires at night. It was a perfect place for our group and we hope to stay again next year.

Lovely respite for families

Generous commons rooms and large kitchen make this perfect for family gatherings. Pool was pristine, beach this year was especially nice. We brought our own beach "toys": pump up paddle boards and canoes, more beach chairs and a tent for a break from the sun. It was a delight.

Great Vacation Home

Everything about the house and property was great. Pool and hot tub are a big plus. Only downside was the steps to the beach. We just learned to take everything with us on the first trip down.But the beach was great. Great vacation home. Loved the peace and quiet. Would definitely rent again.

Nearly perfect

The house is a great place and is better than the photos! Has everything you need - plenty of towels, chairs, dishes, etc. Two refrigerators, two ovens, outdoor grills, huge table on the huge deck to seat everyone, every room with a bathroom, etc. Pool is very nice, Beach is amazing! Be warned it is about 115 stairs to get to it, but it is perfect!

Family reunion

My husband and I, our 3 children and spouses plus 10 grandchildren spend an enjoyable week at the house. All enjoyed the lake view and made use of the pool and hot tub. All enjoyed doing their own thing during the day and meeting again at the house for the evening meal, which we all took a turn at being a "chef". Many memories were made during this time.

Wonderful Family Gathering Spot

We rented Beach Haven for two night at Christmas last year. Each bedroom had it's own bath and TV, two large family spots--great room with fireplace, lake views, large flat screen TV on upper level and family room with TV and pool table on lower level. Its was perfect for our extended family group. Great fun using the hot tub as the snow was falling. Because of the bad weather, we didn't enjoy the lake or sunsets, but I'm sure it would be spectacular if the weather cooperated.

Large family haven

Home has multiple seating areas, great for our group of 15 that split along age lines. Porch seating for meals is for 20 and overlooks generous back yard and lake. Kitchen has most everything a group of 15-20 could need to mass produce meals. Pool is super for kids. Beach was very private with enough sand for the kids. Manage is helpful and responsive.

Wonderful Time and Place

We loved the home and property. Great host/communication and clean throughout. Spacious, light-filled kitchen with anything you might need for cooking and serving large meals. The large dining/living area was a great for conversations. Bedrooms were quiet and dark at night. Comfortable beds. Wonderful sunsets over the lake on Adirondack chairs at edge of tall bluff next to stairs to beach. As other reviewers stated, the photos don't do justice to how spacious and great for a large group this place is.

Fantastic!

Our group of 11 girlfriends had a fantastic "ya-ya" weekend at Beach Haven. The photos on the website simply do not do this home justice. The home was lovely, roomy, and stocked with every amenity we could need. The views were amazing and the beachfront access perfect - it felt like the California coast. We ventured to some wineries and Saugatuck shops during one of our four days there, but for the rest of the time simply felt no reason to leave this home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Better Than the Pictures

We had a marvelous stay at Beach Haven without any problems. The house was bigger and more luxurious than the pictures made it look! Unfortunately, the pool was out of commission due to the time of year but the hot tub was clean and functioning properly. The beach is fairly small and rugged but couldn't complain about the beautiful view. The home is clearly setup to entertain with cabinets labeled for glasses/plates, etc. and directions to use everything from Bluetooth speakers to the dishwasher. Also, their Blue Ray collection is insane in case you get stuck with rainy weather. I would recommend this house to any group!

As we have experienced significant rain this year, the water levels in Lake Michigan are quite high, which results in a smaller beach. We expect (and have seen each year) the beach size to increase as the temperatures rise and water levels go down. There's currently plenty of room for playing, sunbathing, bonfires, and watching the sunsets.

We had an excellent reunion

This a 5 star rental. Yes, I know I gave it 4. Our group of adults needed 5 bedrooms, this place had six. Well equipped kitchen, loved the separate ice maker. Great outdoor deck with 2 tables for 10. A few minor housekeeping items which I addressed with manager. The BIG drawback was the less than stellar performance of the internet. Sometimes not even one of us could get on. Other than that, great place.

Thank-you for the feedback on the internet. We have not had any reliability issues with the high speed internet in the past. We have worked with the provider (ATT) to upgrade and replace the modem.

Highly Recommend

We were a group of 16 and we had more than enough room. In fact the property is big enough to find a private moment if and when you need one. The internet was out 90 % of the time so consider that if that is something important to you. Also Sprint cell phone service does not work at all. Everything in the house from appliances to furniture is top notch, absolutely nothing but the best. The photos do not really depict how difficult the beach access is for anyone that has any physical impairments. We had one elderly and one disabled guests that could not tackle the steep stairway to the beach. The pictures on the site do not do the place justice. It is beautifully decorated and we were very pleased with our stay. Also, the owner was easy to work with.

Thank you for your feedback. It is very much appreciated. I always strive to ensure that my guests have an outstanding experience during their stay, so I try to address any issues ASAP. The internet issue has been resolved. The problem was with the main AT&T service line to the house, which has since been replaced. In terms of cell service, AT&T recently upgraded their service to 3G/4G and reception is good. I'm not sure about Sprint and other carriers, but I will investigate. As far as the stairs, they were replaced in 2012 and are in great condition. Stair access is common in this part of southwest Michigan, but there is beach access just north of the house, which offers guests an option without stairs. Annual Labor Day Weekend Family Reunion

Our large family with all ages of grandchildren stayed at Beach Haven 7 years ago. We were so excited to be able to return this year for our family gathering. We had so much fun experiencing everything the house and property had to offer! The house itself is amazing with 7 full bathrooms and a very well stocked kitchen - 2 ovens and 2 full fridges made doing all our own cooking to much easier. The huge shaded back deck with lots and lots of seating was beautiful at sunset to prepare meals on the outdoor cooking station. We were able to watch the grandkids as they played in the huge back yard on the swing, hammock and playing tag and kickball. The hot tub and pool were amazing after we had nice long days on the private beach. Outdoor shower was conveniently placed by the hot tub and back door. The owners provided so many extras that made our trip even better such as abundant chairs to place around the fire pit, extra folding tables and chairs, beach towels. Mike the owner responded right away when we had questions. We hope we will be able to return to Beach Haven!

Lake House

Big house on Lake Michigan Beach. Gorgeous sunsets, beach. We did have 3 unexpected drop ins, twice for pool cleaners and once for groundskeepers. It would've been better to have had forewarning.

A great house with a lot of open space and beautiful views of the lake. Very long walk down steep stairs to the beach, although the beach itself is phenomenal. Loved the pool, which was even better than the photos. Great communication from manager, very speedy responses.

Good location for family get together. Comfortable eating, sleeping and relaxing arrangements. Enjoyed the hot tub, collecting rocks on the beach and playing pool. A little too cool this time of year ( May 20 - 23 ) to use the pool. Nice large deck to gather and enjoy the view.

Great Family Retreat

This house was a perfect place for our family to hang out together over the holidays! The location on Lake Michigan was beautiful and we were close to St. Joseph for an outing with the kids to the Children’s Museum. The place was very clean, and having a bathroom in every bedroom was a huge plus! The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to cook most our meals at the house. We also enjoyed the hot tub, the park close by and our walks on the beach.

Beautiful Beach Spot

Wonderful location right off Lake Michigan. The house was perfect for our large group of friends visiting the area for a wedding. Kitchen space was great and lower level pool table and hot tub were great amenities. Plenty of sleeping space and the included air beds worked out perfect. Parking was a little tight since the house is tucked back in a wooded area but was still plenty of space for our group. Would highly recommend to any larger groups visiting the St. Joe/Coloma area!
