RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #242 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

We enjoyed being close to the beach, seeing sunsets every night, and having conveniences such as a disposal and modern dishwasher. The unit was clean overall, though I suggest they replace the shower curtain liner. Silver Sands is a nice quiet resort; we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere.

Location and Relaxation

This property was perfect for us! It's right on the beautiful beaches that this area is known for. It was well decorated, had everything we needed, large screened in porch, heated pool, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect location on longboat. We loved the pool and being right on the beach. The kitchen had all the tools we needed and the community grills were great to use

We absolutely loved the condo, it was the perfect location, perfect size for us. The pool was right out our door, the beach was a short walk down the property with pool chairs and umbrellas available for guests. We will definitely be back.

Very nice place and great location! I would say the kitchen could use a few more items such as serving bowls. And the patio view would be greatly improved if the shrubs around the pool were trimmed down a bit so you could see the pool and beyond to the beautiful beach!

Longboat Key

Very nice place. Due to construction at this time, I would recommend to other visiting to definitely stop by a grocery store and stock up on food. I am sure it was the timing we were there and the backups on Gulf Drive. Very nice accommodations.

Great location, pool and beach

Stayed for a week and overall it was great but the cleaning crew could do a better job though, which is why I can't give a 5 star review. Margaret at the front desk was fantastic, so helpful and friendly. The pool area and beach were perfect and having access to bikes at Cedars was a plus. We ate at Harry's, Blu Kouzina, Cafe L'Europe and Mar Vista. Highly recommend them all. Would stay again.

A great beach-side stay

We only spent 2 nights but it was so relaxing. The beach here is excellent and I say that as a Florida native. The area is not heavily populated and there is no public parking nearby, so it feels almost like a private beach. We wanted a quiet, restful weekend of sun and swimming and that is exactly what we got. There are good places to eat all around the key. Sarasota and the Ringling Museum are just 25 minutes away. We wanted to stay longer!

Gulf vaca

I booked this property online because it was one of the most reasonably priced. It has rooms that lead directly to the pool and the beautiful beach beyond. I’m handicapped and really appreciated being able to go right out our screened in patio to pool or beach. The water was aqua and gorgeous! The people were so nice and very accommodating! Highly recommend!
