Wonderful weekend in the sweetest place. Just right for young and older family members. A dock for fishing and relaxing and two porches. Felt instantly at home with everything I could ask for but the food. The owner was generous enough to offer extra time to early check-in and check out later. Such a kind gesture that was appreciated but we weren’t able to use because of travel issues. Would love to stay again in the near future.
This property was super clean and inviting. It was well maintained and very comfortable. Communication with the property owner was also very good. We chose this property because it didn't have but two steps into the house as I am handicapped and it worked very well
Property was as described and worked well for 2 couples and their dogs. We enjoyed all of the amenities that were offered. The fishing wasn’t great but we had a great time anyway. Our host John was amazing he was very responsive to any of our questions or concerns
Ample seating inside and out for the 5 of us. Highly functional kitchen made cooking a breeze. Loved the covered back porch and the deck on the canal. John is an exceptional host.
The property was just as promised. The bedrooms were comfortable. The shower pressure was amazing. We had fun using the kayaks and fishing off the dock. The propert owner was quick to check in and communicate. Would highly recommend and would stay again!
Great place! Beds were comfy. Had plenty of space. The dock was awesome. Beautiful at night when lit up. AC was nice and cool. The kayaks were an added bonus. The owner was great with communication. Quick responses and willing to help at any time. I would definitely stay here again.
Host reached out with check-in instructions a few days before stay. Location was great, right at the “T” on the canal to Salt Lake. We made use of the available kayaks every day and went up and down all the canals and out on Salt lake. Didn’t catch any fish from the dock that were keepers, but caught enough blue crabs to have two meals for three people. Steamed one day and crab cakes another. Overall this was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve taken in part because of the peaceful location of the house and the great friendly neighbors up and down the canal. 10 minutes or so from the grocery store and the Rockport beach.
This place was great. Close to town. Very well stocked and had everything needed to cook meals at home. Beds we’re comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
House was gorgeous with all the amenities, doing laundry after a beach day was a plus. The view in the morning and sunset was beautiful. We had a lot of firsts ,my daughter catching her first fish, sand castles and beach every day. The fishing was good too, we mostly caught pinfish and sand perch but as long as they were biting we were happy. The host is super easy to get ahold of and helped troubleshoot issues quickly. The absolute only complaint we had was how bad the mosquitos were, we recommend a thermocell or bug spray. Other than that this house is perfect for families and we will definitely be coming back in the future.
John is so easy to communicate with! The neighborhood is quiet, off the beaten path, nice backyard for the fur babies to hang out and the pier to fish from is fantastic. This is our second year to stay here, which should speak volumes about this property. Do not hesitate to book and enjoy your stay!
Our vacation landed on the tails of a tropical storm. Host John kept us informed starting long before we arrived of local conditions and roadways. He even offered to modify the booking if it would work out for us.
This ended up being the best vacation I’ve ever had! In no small part to this house and location! I would 1,000% recommend this place and would for sure stay here again!
Our stay was great. The property was in a peaceful neighbirhood. The property was very nice and we had evrything we needed and more. I hope to stay here again.
We had a wonderful time. The property comes well equipped with everything you'll need. The property owner is quick to respond. Perfect location right on a channel with great fishing! Walmart and HEB is only a five minute drive. We definitely would stay again!
The host was very proactive in helping us to check in and making sure we found everything we needed. The property is lovely, it's impossible to tear yourself away from the back porch and deck. The house is spacious enough that 3 couples felt we had ample private space. And the cool birds were such an unexpected bonus!
We definitely recommend this property to just get away and relax.
We had a great, restful stay. We loved the ability to launch our little Portland Pudgy and even though it was quite windy most of our stay, we managed several trips out of the canal system in front of the house to the main bay. John was super responsive to our questions and it was a simple check in.
If you have a dog and a boat, this is definitely the place for you! It’s hard to come by properties where you can put in your boat, AND have a nice fenced-in grassy yard for your beloved pet.
Well-appointed, comfortable, and clean.
Communication with the owner is seamless before, during, and after your stay. We will be back!
We stayed after the thanksgiving holiday and even though it was windy and cold , we caught fish right off the dock . I also took my boat and used the on site boat ramp . If you plan to do this then please note that the turn to line up with the driveway is very tight . I have a 21 ft boat and I also have a CDL so backing up is my life and if I tell you it’s not easy then it really is not easy with a boa of this length. Once on the driveway it is narrow so take your time . The ramp was also narrow but it was not an issue form me . I was able to park my boat right on the dock and there was not boat traffic on the canal when we visited . Also , the water on Salt lake is very shallow . I have a shallow water boat so it wasn’t an issue for me but if you don’t have a boat with a tunnel hull then you will be dragging the prop all the way to Copano bay if that’s where you plan to fish . The home is very cozy and very well stocked . The owner is also very easy to work with and made our trip very enjoyable . Highly recommend place for anyone looking to enjoy the west side of Rockport .
Went on a weekend fishing trip the house was clean and had a good time on back deck.did some fishing caught some fish and had some fun good place.will stay there again in the future.
We’ve stayed at other properties in the area so we were familiar with this area. Upon arrival we were impressed with how nice the outside of the home looked. When we got inside, it was very clean, comfortable and very open. Had lots of natural lighting and flowed great. The outside was wonderful for the dogs and having a private boat ramp was a plus! Fishing pier and cleaning station were amazing as well. We will definitely be staying here again. The manager was also great with communicating. I didn’t realize it was an actual person at first because other times we’ve used other rental companies and it was an autogenerated message. But John was great!
This was a great house for kids and pets! Spacious and very comfortable. We loved the location on the water, thr fenced yard, and the fishing was great. The owner was kind, attentive, and helpful with a few issues that came up during our stay. Loved the gas and coal grill option and the very well stocked kitchen! The neighbors were also super sweet and helpful with fishing tips for our kids Beds and TVs were great and it was nice to have games for the kids. The only negatives were that the puzzles were missing a lot of pieces😂 and a couple of chairs on the deck may need replacing. Otherwise we would totally book this spot again!
This was the perfect place for a family trip with my grandma. We spent most of our stay out on the back deck watching the sea gulls and Heron. The canal was so quiet and peaceful!
