Absolutely beautiful and beyond our expectations! From the moment of driving up to the cabin to opening the door, we were just in love! You could not ask for anything more! The place is spotless, amazingly built and so interesting. There are so many extras, towels, soaps, cleaning supplies, pristine gas grill, you name it! Plenty of usable cooking supplies and a bowl full of candy! You won’t need a thing, but if you do, the hosts are right there, great communication, as much or as little contact you need (Awesome folks who are there close by, to help if you need, super friendly!)The cabin is immaculate, the views are amazing, so peaceful, the roads are walkable, New River Trail is about 15 minutes away . Perfect birthday retreat for my man! Can’t say enough!
The cabin was absolutely beautiful inside and out! Any and everything needed was provided… towels, cookware, a grill, extra blankets, etc. The location was peaceful and relaxing. And I loved that it was pet friendly too! We hope to visit again!
We spent a few days in the area to explore the new river trail and stayed at this cabin.
We loved the cabin. It is very well built, extremely clean, and well appointed. There are rolling hills all around, it’s very pretty.
We will be back
This house was sooooo nice. Just as depicted in the photos, only better. Everything you need was provided and the host was easily available and helpful. Beds were VERY comfortable and the front and back porches were perfect for relaxing, visiting or napping. Highly recommended.
The Cabin was more than we expected, it was beautiful, very clean with everything we needed! The view from the porch was breath taking especially the sunset!Jeannie was the best host, she always got back to us with any questions we had! The Cabin was very close to the New River Trail and many other sights and shops to visit! We can’t wait for our next stay at the Cabin!
The log cabin was perfect for our weekend away. The location is great, if you are interested in outdoor activities, especially, biking, hiking and kayaking. The host was extremely accommodating and made sure that we had everything that we needed for the weekend. Also, the small touches within the cabin made things very comfortable, e.g., soups, towels, coffee fixings. We will be a return guest, if we travel back to the area. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful cabin. Just enough space for the four of us. Thouroughly enjoyed relaxing on the porch and sitting by the fire. Well stocked and bwautifully decorated made it feel homey. Found a new place to stay when we make our weekend trips to the Harley shop. Thank you for being so welcoming.
The tub was my favorite!!!
This is a charming cabin and the host has been very thoughtful about its appearance and amenities. You will find many things you need for a great stay (kitchen is well appointed, coffee was provided, soaps, shampoo, linens, and welcome packet with ideas for dinner out, etc). It was easy to get to from 77 and the host is wonderful about quickly responding to your messages.
Things to consider:
-We found the upstairs bed to be uncomfortable - too firm (of course this is different for everyone).
-We based the overall review on the items highlighted by VRBO (cleanliness, check in, accuracy, communication, and location) and thus didn't take away for this.
-The addition of motion sensitive battery operated lights on/near the stairs for trips down to the restroom at night would be helpful.
My family came initially for a reunion at Foster Falls, but after arriving and seeing this gorgeous, hand built and tastefully decorated cabin, our weekend became so much more. Online pics are absolutely an understatement. The cabin sits in the middle of a flower laced field with striking views of the surrounding mountains. Other homes across the fields are quaint, well kept and even improve (if possible) the pastoral, secluded feeling of the place. We sat in the rocking chairs on the huge wraparound porch and watched as the lightning bugs and deer claimed the fields around us in the evening. Inside the cabin is just as comfortable and beautiful as the grounds. Well stocked kitchen and bath w/ soaps, shampoos, towels, everything we needed+. Fresh and clean and beautifully decorated w/ unusual and interesting items, comfortable rugs and quilts, lovely music, clerestory windows doors and beams. There is no lack of more modern amenities such as excellent internet/television/phone service. Jeannie too is an excellent host who made us feel welcome and appreciated. This was an unexpectedly enjoyable VRBO stay and we will definitely return. (Thank you, Jeannie!)
Wonderful cabin in a great location with everything you could need already thought of and provided. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and can't wait to come back.
