Great Everything!

My family and I stayed here for a week and everything was great. The house itself was perfect for us, plenty of room and comfortable. My wife said it was the best vacation shower, due to pressure and hot water. Had good fishing from the dock. Even sadolphins a few mornings swim by. Close to a few beaches that were never crowded. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Bayside retreat

Quiet lovely area. Kids and adults alike had fun fishing on the pier. Nice area for little ones to play in the shade. 10/10 will book again.

Perfect Bay house getaway

The home is perfect for a family, we stayed with our daughter and our parents. With 2 living spaces and kitchens, it was perfect. Our fur babies loved the backyard and the fishing was wonderful!

Girls weekend

The property is an older block home that is very comfortable, not pretentious. Much more spacious that we imagined. This is our 3 time at a VRBO and it was as we expected. Tne location and spaciousness made the trip. It is comfortable and we enjoyed our weekend. This will be a great family place.

Just before getting to the house and into our 8 hour drive we were notified by the rental company our pet deposit had not been paid. I felt this should have been done months, and or weeks in advance, we booked in January, for a stay in July. Yet was contacted day of arrival. There were so many fees I didn’t even realize this wasn’t paid. Overall the layout of the home and spaciousness is good. The steps and transitions in the floor from some rooms to the other can be dangerous and need some sort of a transition strip, and or small ramp. The pier needs serious work and decent lighting. There are loose boards throughout the pier, some even so loose if you stand on one end and not in the middle you can and may fall off the pier and in the water. There is not good lighting at all on the pier and the 2/3 motion sensors/ solar lights at the end of the pier don’t work consistently at night when needed. The walkway to the pier has the lights at chest level, that does nothing for seeing where you’re walking at night on a dark pier with loose boards. The kitchens are fully stocked however 2 dish towels and 1 sponge between 2 kitchens, and only enough bath towels for exactly 8-10 people isn’t enough. I get there is a washer and dryer but a house that accommodates so many needs a few more towels. The shark catching off the pier was the best part of the trip, the house needs serious cleaning and there are just little things needed to make the stay better.

Family Vacation

My family and I really enjoyed our time at the Sun of a Beach home. We typically stay over on the Gulf Shores side where it is crowded with lots of traffic. The Sun of a Beach was over on the Ft. Morgan side which was very quiet and relaxing and you didn't have to deal with the big crowds unless you went over to Gulf Shores. We loved spending time on the enclosed patio area watching the water and the sun sets. We even got to enjoy a night by the bonfire. My husband and son enjoyed their fishing on the dock and cought 3 salt water catfish and one stingray. The way the house is set up it would be great if there was separate couples/families that came because it had the split living/kitchen areas. If I could recommend anything I would recommend that the stove be replaced. The burners are hard to cook on because the slant and the pans don't stay on it right and one burner seems to cook at only one temp. Other then that, the house was very quaint and perfect.

Bayhouse

We traveled from TX 15hr drive, got in late around 130am. The door code did not work. Called the help desk, they had to call the person on call who wasn't answering. An hour later of still waiting my husband walked around and found a side door unlocked. If he had not walked around we woukd have to find somewhere to sleep for the night. At 530am finally received a call with a new door code. Never received an apology from the rental company Beachball or any compositions for this which I'm disappointed about especially paying for that night. Other than that the house was nice. The dock my family enjoyed fishing from everyday. The house is very roomy in a private area. A few updates like a new shower head in the front bathroom would be nice.

Fun for the whole family

We live local but wanted a family vacation and were unable to coordinate days for everyone so we stayed local so our kids and grandkids could still fulfill their obligations while on vacation. Our grandkids loved the fishing pier however there was no ladder (we did notice there used to be one that I assume was taken out by a storm) to get in and out of the water to swim and/or cool off or to get our kayaks in easily. We also loved the amount of crab traps which was unexpected. The house set up is unusual but it was not an issue and fit 7 of us very comfortably. We loved the games that are provided and ample amount of TVs. The furniture was very comfortable. The kitchens had ample cooking supplies however we grilled every night so we didn't require much. We would stay here again if it were not for the dock/pier not having water access. I would suggest adding a lower uncovered dock with a ladder. Also for anyone renting, do not leave anything on the dock over night, we lost a pair of reading glasses and a flip flop, we didn't realize how easily the wind could carry things away.
