Booked this as a last minute mini spring break vacation and absolutely loved it. Will visit again. Cabin was adorable, clean and very well kept. Hammock chairs under cabin were the highlight of the trip. Found some games in the coffee table and it was nice to teach my son games that did not involve electronics. Bathhouse was very close by and exceptionally clean and well stocked. Shower was amazing. Puppy had a great time walking the trail with us. Easy drive to Whitewater State Park.
Had a wonderful stay. Love the hanging chairs but would have been nice to have some tinkle lights or something underneath for night time sitting. It was very nice of Chelsi to stop by and introduce herself. Definitely will go again.
Stayed here with some girlfriends for a few days while camping. We loved the little cabin and hammock area. Do be aware it is right next to a highway, so it was loud. Chelsi does a great job making sure your stay is good!

Thanks for the review Sarah! The property is off a county highway. The amount of traffic isn't too bad but you can hear vehicles when they go by. The weekdays, when Sarah's group stayed, are typically busier with business related traffic and farming depending on the time of year. Weekends there is typically less traffic and it is more passenger vehicles with visitors. Almost all the campgrounds in the area are right off or very near a county highway.
Easy, simple, glamping treehouse in the woods. Perfect. Coffee, popcorn great towels, super and nice little bath house.

Absolutely loved this cabin stay for our family! Clean, quick drive to whitewater state park for day adventures, and so nice to come back and enjoy the time at the cabin. Bathrooms were great and clean! Nice to have running warm water for our toddler along for the trip. Will definitely be considering booking again! :)
I am absolutely amazed at how clean the cabin and bathrooms were. No paper towels you get a new cloth towel each time you wash your hands! Parking was tight on the top of the hill there is ample parking about 100 feet away. There is opportunity to make the “backyard” more than what it is. All in all stay here you won’t be disappointed!

What a great setup! The property features a cabin and separate bath house below, and several outdoor camping areas up the bluff. Just a little more clarification on which amenities are in which area, but otherwise just fine. Lots of extra touches and small details were appreciated. I am hoping to make staying here a yearly thing.
We packed our family of four into this cute treehouse spot. It was super clean and tidy, and had thoughtful touches throughout. We loved sitting on the hammock chairs and grilling meals outside. The bathhouse was especially well thought out and nice. The shower was hot and the hand towels and beautiful sink felt like a luxury in the woods. The host was friendly and warm and has made this campground a labor of love with personal touches throughout the land. We had a lot of fun.

The cabin was actually nicer than the pictures gave them credit for. The beds and couch were very comfortable. The bathrooms were much nicer than expected. Both the cabin and the bathrooms were very clean.
The grounds around the cabin really needed a good mowing. It would have been helpful if firepit tools for moving hot logs or cleaning out old charred pieces of wood were provided. Not something we have to bring with us.
Our group of three long time friends that like to fish together found this Tree House Cabin close to the Whitewater River near Elba, MN. It looked similar to places we've stayed to ice fish with bunk beds, no indoor plumbing and a little table to play games. We were pleasantly surprised to see how much better this was. It was very clean, nicely decorated and more spacious then we expected. It's nestled in the beautiful woods on Whiskey Hill and we wished we had more then one night to stay. I highly recommend this cabin and the owner always responded immediately to my questions.

Thanks for taking time to leave a review. Hope to see you and the fishing crew again!
After years of experiencing the benefits and joys of spending time in nature, I was inspired to find a way to share this with others. I enjoy helping people relax, and hosting at Aefinytr campground has allowed me to combine my love of the outdoors with my passion for hospitality.
Why they chose this property
Whitewater River Valley is located in Driftless Region of southeastern Minnesota and is known for its rugged hiking trails, scenic bluffland, and excellent trout fishing in the spring-fed Whitewater River and Trout Run Creek. I love the beauty of the wooded hills of the valley, observing all the flora and fauna of the hardwood forest, kayaking, tubing and fishing on the river and the noticeable lack of mosquitos! This is a place I go to rest and revitalize my soul.
What makes this property unique
Aefintyr Campground was inspired by a love of wilderness adventures, nature and hospitality. The small campground is nestled into the hillside of the valley and offers an atmosphere that is rugged and adventurous, yet at the same time quiet and revitalizing. It is a place where nature is celebrated as the best amenity! Although our campground is very modern, you will not find pavement, packed in rows of RVs, manicured lawns or crowds here : ) We have a beautiful 14 acres of woods and lots of wildlife and space to unplug and slow down.
