This cabin is conveniently located right next to the city park, 3 Bar and Grills. 1 mile to Whitewater State Park and just 15 minutes to put your boat in the Mississippi River. Lots of beautiful scenery to hike, bike, walk the trails, fishing in natural streams and climb the Elba Fire Tower for some sights to see! Great for hunting of all kinds or just to get away for a while. Completely remodeled inside and out. Modern amenities and a little old school flare.

We were very pleased with this comfortable stay in the small town of Elba. We were so close to Whitewater State Park and were able to wind down after a full day at the the park singing karaoke at a family owned diner in town. It was a lovely time and the accomodations were perfect to meet our needs.

Living and kitchen space large and comfortable. Large fridge was nice. One Bathroom is small, needed to schedule rotation to be event-ready. Bedrooms didn’t have place to have good access to suitcases / bags.

Quiet hideaway

Martha’s Place was fully equipped, very clean, and provided a great escape for our vacation. The neighborhood was quiet and the area was scenic and had opportunities for walking and hiking.

It was excellent! We took our puppy on vacation for the first time and this was an great option for us! We loved the little town of Elba, everyone was wonderful to work with! When we were not at the house lounging, we were hikeing and fishing! The house was welcoming and clean! Our only set back was we didnt have cellphone service to look up the instructions when we got here! Luckily the bars in town have free wifi! Otherwise we had a wonderful time! Thank you Danielle!

Peaceful Elba setting

3 places to eat and drink just across the street, Tree lined streets and Military appreciation park was next to the property. The house had an open kitchen-dining room with comfortable couches in the living room. Three bedrooms meet the sleeping needs for the 5 of us. Only one bath worked out- no lingering.We enjoyed the trails and cool swimming beach at nearby White Water State park.

December weekend at Martha's

Martha's place was a wonderful place for our group of 4 adults while visiting family in the area. Clean! Warm and cozy with plenty of room to gather for meals and to be social. Great that we could bring our fur babies along. The grand kids came to visit and enjoyed snacks at the breakfast bar and playing at the park next to the house. We will definitely stay at Martha's place again.

Weekend of fishing, family and fun

My husband, mother and father-in-law, daughters & a couple friends enjoyed a weekend at Martha's Place. The house was clean and ready for us. The kitchen is well equipped to cook meals. We grilled and had a campfire. I forgot marshmallow roasting sticks. I messaged Danielle and she immediately told me where to find them. So we enjoyed Smores, too.

Great Thanksgiving Getaway

The family booked Martha's Place to visit my oldest son that is working nearby during Thanksgiving. We were looking for a nice quiet place with character, and this place worked out perfect. Uniquely decorated and nestled in hills near Whitewater State Park. Kitchen appliances were very nice, and the family room had plenty of space for 6 adults. We had concerns about only having one bathroom, but it really wasn't an issue. We all agreed that we would stay there again.

Friend and family reunion

This was a wonderful property set in the bluffs near Whitewater State Park. It is near a variety of places to visit, including the WhitewaterState Park, Perrot Sate Park in Wisconsin,Winona, Lake Pepin to name a few. The home was very well stocked. We primarily cooked our own food which was easy as the kitchen had the things you needed.The host was very kind-(she left a wonderful dessert for our stay) All 4 of us completely enjoyed our time there and plan to come back in the future!!

Hunting Staycation

If I could give a million stars, I would! We went so the husbands could hunt, and the wives enjoy a cozy house with the little ones. It was just what we needed for a sweet getaway! The beds were very comfortable, along with pillows! House was stocked with anything you could think of. The house was even decorated for Christmas, which we loved getting to celebrate the holidays with friends and family! Everyone in town was so generous and kind. The clerks at the gas station let us know that there was a Santa/Christmas celebration for all! We loved that we were invited to join in. The restaurant/bars next door were so convenient as well! There was a park next door, but unfortunately it was too cold to play. Last, we brought our two dogs and Danielle was so sweet and left treats for them (us as well!) I hope we are fortunate enough to come stay again sometime soon! Book now - you won’t regret it!

Originally from Nebraska, I moved to Minnesota in 2006 and have called this home ever since! I love the scenery and the multitude of places to explore and see. The amount of outdoor activities are endless here and it's why I fell in love with Minnesota!

Why they chose this property

I stumbled across this little town by chance and I am so glad I did! My husband and I found this property and saw a diamond in the rough. Everyone in this small town makes you feel like a big deal! We couldn't have picked a better option to make our vacation rental debut!

What makes this property unique

You won't find too many locations that make you feel like you are out in the woods but still be right in the middle of all the action the town has to offer! The house was built in 1873 and still with some originality of it's structure and details, there have been some modifications that make it up to "date" but not to lose that charm!
