Communication was great. Indoor pictures are as described. Outdoor is slightly deceiving as there are run down houses 2 homes over. Does not feel like a very nice area. Also not pictured is the massive construction project that begins at 5am. While this is "1 block to King street," it would be a hike in that its the very end of where shopping and restaurants are. Fine for a short 2 night stay but would not return to this area or this house.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to hear communication was great and that the interior of the home matched the listing photos. We’re sorry the surrounding area and nearby construction affected your stay experience. As for the construction, it is a bit out of our control since it is a neighboring project. The listing was updated before your booking was made to make future guests aware. We appreciate your feedback and are glad communication remained smooth throughout your stay.

Disliked: Location
Property was great but I wish I knew about the location being smack in the middle of a construction zone. The property sits in the middle of a block with construction on both sides. The city has pulled down some old industrial building and putting in apartments or condos. We had a crane running all night lifting steel up to the roof of the building directly across the street. It was unnerving to say the least.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re glad you felt the property itself was great. We’re very sorry for the disturbance caused by the nearby construction - that’s certainly not the experience we want for our guests. The construction is a neighboring project and unfortunately out of our control, and the listing was updated prior to your booking to reflect this. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you were still able to enjoy parts of your stay.
The location is fantastic and walkable everywhere! Once the construction in the area ends it will be even easier. Unit was clean and check in and out were easy! Only small challenge was the noise level at night in the front bedroom but the provided sound machine helped.

Thank you for your feedback, McKenzie! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the fantastic, walkable location! Our housekeeping team takes pride in their cleanliness, so it’s wonderful to know the unit met your expectations. There can be some city noise anywhere downtown, but our travelers have always loved the convenience of this spot. Hopefully, once the construction wraps up, it will be even easier to get around! Hope to see you back soon.
We loved our stay here. The space is nicely decorated and comfortable, and within walking distance to King Street, the waterfront and so much more. The construction noise has been mentioned in other reviews, but it was manageable. Would stay here again!

This property had everything we needed for a quick 2 night stay. It's also an easy walk to the free bus route so we didn't have to drive much. Communication was also very easy.

We enjoyed our stay. It helped that we love to walk to everything— no way were we fetting the car out if we did not have to! Charleston is a great city!

Hi Kristi, so glad to hear our place met your expectations and you found it to be clean! Our professional housekeeping team does a great job. Thank you!
The property was exactly as advertised. It was very clean and comfortable. The set up worked well for our family. Short walk to King Street. Parking was an added bonus, with narrow driveway as described in the post. We would choose to stay here again if we returned to Charleston.

Kara, parking in Charleston is pretty rare so we're happy to hear we could accommodate. It was a pleasure to be your host. Thanks for being a great guest.
This was the perfect little place for a getaway to Charleston! It was exactly as described, decorated very cute, and equipped with the perfect amount of amenities. Our only complaint was that there was quite a bit of construction across the street and the driveway to get to the parking in the back is EXTREMELY narrow, but fine for small cars.

Happy you enjoyed your stay here, Cierra! Glad that all worked well during your stay. Parking in the entire downtown area are almost identical to the parking space here, but glad it worked for you too!
The house was nice and we enjoyed the place. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. There is construction around but that is expected when the city is trying to revive certain areas. The parking was tight but manageable. We would stay here again.

Thank you for your review, Tracy! Glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us. Offering parking is definitely a privilege in the historic area, and the homes able to offer it do tend to have narrow parking areas. Come back anytime!
Loved this property. It was clean, comfortable, and a convenient location. Parking here is tight (which is made clear in the description and communication) but we rented a Nissan rogue and had no problems getting in and out. Having parking right there is a huge bonus. We had a great time. 100% recommend.

Hope we can get to host you back, Emily! we always want to remind our guest about the parking as it is the same with all the other downtown areas, happy that you made it work out too. Can't wait to have you back here!
We absolutely loved our stay at this Charleston home! The house is SO cute, decorated beautifully, and feels so welcoming the moment you walk in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the showers were great, and everything was spotless with plenty of fresh towels and linens. The location is also fantastic … literally a 30-second walk to King Street and just a couple minutes walk to Uptown Social, Mesu, Félix etc. and tons of other amazing bars, restaurants and shops. Our host was one of the friendliest and most communicative people I’ve ever booked with. They made everything so easy and were an absolute pleasure to chat with. Check-in was seamless, and everything about our stay just worked out perfectly.I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a 10/10 and we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Your kind words about communication mean a lot as we always strive to make the experience smooth and enjoyable. We’d love to host you again anytime. A true 10/10 guest!
This property was a perfect fit for us. We were staying there for a wedding at Lowndes Grove. It was the perfect distance. We loved walking King street. There was a perfect spot to take the dog for potty breaks. I was worried my expedition Max wouldn’t fit behind the house. It actually did fit.
All and all great spot will definitely be staying again.

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint apartment! Very cutely decorated and had all the supplies we needed. Communication with management was perfect. They even reached out to make sure everything went smooth with check in. Only 1 block from the end of King Street. One thing to note it is in a neighborhood with a lot of construction and renovation so in a couple of years it will be even better!

Kim, we're happy you enjoyed your stay with us! Glad communication and check in were a breeze for you all. We work around the clock to make our guest stay as comfortable as possible. Charleston is a fast growing city and the construction is a bit out of our control since it is a neighboring project. We really appreciate you being a great guest and helping to share the word about us. Come back and see us soon!
Was a cute apartment very walkable to King Street. All Appliances worked well and place was very clean. It was nice to include parking, however, the parking was very tight, owner probably should advertise compact vehicles only in the listing as we were very close trying to park with our Honda Civic. Good thing I inquired about parking before booking or else I would have had to park off property.

Hello Kyra, so happy to hear you found our place to be cute and very clean! Our professional housekeeping does a great job. Offering parking is definitely a privilege in the historic area, and the homes able to offer it do tend to have narrow parking areas. We're always happy to offer an alternative space when we can as well. We encourage all guests to ask questions before booking, to make sure any of our homes are the right fit. Come back soon :)
Overall, this was a great VRBO and the host was very responsive. Details that detracted from the visit included things like: two wine glasses in the home that sleeps 7-8 people, broken dishwasher top rack, no coffee filters (but complimentary ground coffee), clogged bathroom sink, and the fact that the house is located in the midst of a construction zone and we had to deal with construction noise during the day. These were all pretty minor issues and the host responded in a way that we were satisfied with but some guests may have found these things to be more problematic than a minor nuisance. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather.

Hi Kathryn, thank you for your review and feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your stay overall and appreciated our responsiveness. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered, like the wine glasses and the dishwasher. Our team is available 24/7 and we would've been more than happy to drop off extra wine glasses and coffee filter as well as addressing the dishwasher had we known about it during your stay. As for the construction it is a bit out of our control since it is a neighboring project. The listing was updated before your booking was made. We hope to welcome you back for an even better experience next time!
Check in and communication were very good. Unit had a number of issues- mostly minor, but still annoying. One kitchen cabinet hanging loose. Bunk bed was very rickety, to the extent an 8 yo was worried about it falling on her brother in the lower bunk. Toilet seats loose. Cracked champagne flutes. 13 coffee cups and 2 wine glasses for 3 adults. Parking was very tight, but got a VW Atlas into the 2 allotted spots. Bachelorette party downstairs apparently doing shots until 1am.
Manager was nice and said she would have tech look at issues.

Hi James, thank you for your feedback and for highlighting the positives about check-in and communication. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you encountered, such as the loose kitchen cabinet, rickety bunk bed, and other minor inconveniences. We appreciate you bringing these to our attention, and we’ll ensure they are addressed promptly. Offering parking is definitely a privilege in the historic area, and the homes able to offer it do tend to have narrow parking areas. Apologies about your neighbor. We would've intervened if we know the noise was disturbing your stay. We hope you will give us a try again in the future.
