We Loved This House!!!

This house was very comfortable with a great view of the bay. It has great outdoor areas with a comfy deck to sit and enjoy the wildlife. We saw tons of pelicans diving for fish, hundreds of seals that would sleep on the sand bars daily when the tide was out and deer in the nearby yards. There is a beach within a few minutes walk from the house and two restaurants within a 5 minute walk. We found lots of different hiking each day within the area and lots of different beach access for walking within a short drive. The house has nice furnishings with lots of extras you wouldn’t expect. We watched movies each night in the upstairs theatre area. Would recommend to anyone.

Wonder place! Beautiful View!

We traveled up the Oregon coast on a 10 day trip with my family of five and my in-laws. The King Crabber was by far our favorite place on the trip. We only stayed for 2 nights but wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the place and the area. The home is newly furnished with a lot of technology and entertainment (which the teenagers loved). It is a great place to cook, relax and enjoy the view.

Beautiful Home with Ocean View

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. It was well stocked with all the pans and dishes we needed. The beds were comfy and the neighborhood quiet so everyone slept well. The only draw back was a short walk to the beach. During low tide we could access the whole beach and walked to Oceanside several times. If the tide was in we could only get to a small part of beach, but we found that we could drive to the public access in Happy Camp during high tides and still enjoy the beach. We have stayed at Happy Camp before but were unhappy with all the noise at night and with all the stairs at each house (we have old dogs that are unable to climb that many stairs several times a day). Next time we stay at Netarts this house will be the first one we try to rent.

Fabulous property with amazing view!

We enjoyed our stay, and the view was spectacular throughout our time -perfect oregon coast stormy weather made it cozy for our spring break, and we got some great crabs too! The layout of the house was perfect for two small families with teens. One of the adults in our group has a physical disability and was able to fully enjoy the entire home comfortably. The entire layout lends itself well to a mixed group, and the open space upstairs with sleeping space and the theater amenities was a plus. The owner was helpful during our reservation process and available for contact and questions before and during our stay. We enjoyed The Schooner restaurant close by, with incredible food (the clam chowder, fries, wings, calamari and skillet brownie sundaes were huge hits) comfortable coastal atmosphere and top-notch cocktails (we highly recommend the local beer offerings and the Long Island Ice Tea....). Fantastic value for the experience. We hope to return again!

Wonderful weekend at the King Crabber!

Great location, great view-you can enjoy morning coffee from the sun deck and check out conditions on the bay and at the boat ramp. Very nice house, nicely furnished, clean and fresh and set up with everything you need for a group. Outdoor spaces furnished nicely with fire pit, lounge chairs, large table and a cleaning station for your awesome Netart’s crab! Next time we will bring the seniors in our family as bedrooms, baths, dining, fireplace and deck are all on the main floor. The place is just like the posted photos- what more do you need? Maybe the upstairs media room?!? Yes! We will be back!

A Dream Come True

Recently spent a week in the King Crabber. Amazing!!! Very clean, well maintained with all updated appliances including a working ice maker! The beds on the main floor were high quality mattresses and we slept like babies! Theater seats in loft are amazing for watching movies and TV. Extra beds tucked in corners of loft and a unit above garage as well which we did not use but it is very nice! Walked to dinner at the Schooner - Great little resturaunt. Watched fishermen and crabbers in the bay. Many things to do very close by. Don't miss Cape Meares and Cape Lookout - just minutes from the house. We loved this place and it is by far the best place we have rented off VRBO in several years. Stereo system and lighting are off the charts here. Michael was good to do business with and you always feel like you could reach him if you needed to. I wish everyone could spend some special time here. Add dog friendly and who could ask for more?!! Photos do NOT do this place proper justice! The artwork alone will make you very happy! I proudly give this my highest rating ever!

King Crabber Rocks

This is an excellent place. Michael takes great pride in the property and it shows. It's very clean, safe, comfortable and convenient. There is plenty of space, the property is accessible but yet private, and the view is wonderful. The bay, beach, and Schooner Restaurant and Bar are within very close walking distance. Netarts is a quiet little place - a couple of eating/drinking places, a bay beach and an ocean beach, a public boat launch, a couple of small stores, and a few small motels. This house is a great way to enjoy the area. Michael is interested in any maintenance issues that his visitors find and he always wants to make things right. He doesn’t nickel and dime you for typical wear & tear. The house is fully functional for short or long term stays. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. A huge feature for us is that the house is completely wired with speakers in every room - you can plug in an iPod or computer downstairs and run sound through the receiver throughout the place. He keeps it well, and there's an obvious pride in its condition that it's hard not to treat it as your own. We'll continue to visit and enjoy this wonderful house.

The King Crabber

My family & I stayed here Oct.12,2012 thru Oct. 14, 2012. We found the house worked well for us. The small kids loved the upstairs where they could play and watch their videos while the adults were downstairs. The beds were very comfortable, the sound system through out the house was excellent. We loved having the gas fireplace because the weather was rather stormy and it kept the living area cozy. The kitchen was well equipped. The pictures of the house weren't at all reflective of it's beauty. The house was much better. The large windows provided an excellent view of Netarts Bay. It was a real quiet neighborhood. We would have spent time outside on the deck, but the weather didn't permit it. Would like to return in the Spring or Summer to enjoy everything at this house to the fullest. I will say that there was some things that needed attention, but it didn't distract from the enjoyment of our stay. We wish we had the time to stay longer. I would recommend this property to my friends and relatives. We enjoyed going to the Schooner Restaurant for lunch. It was advertised as having a WII, but we couldn't find what we needed to enjoy it. We loved the decor of the house and all the wonderful pictures. Our favorite picture was the bicycle silhouette against the moon. Thank you for sharing your lovely house with us. We will come back to stay longer.
