Perfect place for a DC Trip
This property, Ravens Nest, was the perfect home base for our trip to the Washington, DC area. It was a quick walk to the Bethesda Metro station, with easy access into downtown tourist attractions on the red line (but they also have on-site parking if you bring your car). And the property is located right in the middle of everything, so much going on in Bethesda too!! Joe and Diana were excellent hosts. When we arrived, they had set out wine and snacks! Delicious and very very generous. Communication was seamless, and they quickly responded to all my requests from the moment we confirmed our booking to the day we checked out. The space itself was spotless and fresh, and well-appointed with everything we needed for our stay. I worked remotely while I was there, and the WiFi was strong throughout the house (which is something I always appreciate). We will definitely be back next time we are in town, and I'd recommend Joe’s home to tourists and business travelers alike! All of us, myself, my husband and our two small children had a wonderful time in the Washington, D.C. area and very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Ravens Nest is a five star plus!!!

Great location but multiple issues
Please read this entire review!!!!! Let me state the house was clean, there were snacks and 2 nice bottles of wine left for us and the house is in a great location. There are 4 reasons for my 2 star rating. 1. Listing Listing Listing. The original listing stated the 3rd bedroom had bunk beds. When i contacted the owners about there not being pictures of the bunkbeds they then told me there was a cot that could be used ( it was my fault for waiting until i could no longer get a full refund to check on this. If i would've asked earlier i would've cancelled) they changed the listing of the 3rd bedroom to having a futon/sofa bed. There is not!!!!!! it is really a coleman camping cot!!! 2. The beds are rocks!! Seriously the bathmat has more cushion than the beds. And because of the inaccurate listing we had to share beds. We weren't thrilled. 3. The listing states the house accommodates 4 people well the living room doesn't. There is only a love seat and chair we had to bring a dinning room chair into the living room as we were relaxing at the end of the evening watiching TV. And after walking around DC for hours we were less than happy about this. 4. The upstairs bathroom door, though sliding farm doors are trendy is not at all conducive to the primary bathroom door. It provides very little privacy.

Best for adults only
Hosts were good communicators and very thoughtful. They kindly left some snacks that our family very much appreciated. I would recommend this property only to adults. It is not conducive to kids of any age. It’s on a very busy road in between a fire station and hospital so there is a LOT of street noise at all times and sirens. We were able to run the window AC units to mostly drown out the noise but sleeping was a challenge. Stairs are steep inside and out. If you are a single person or a couple looking for a place to sleep that is convenient to metro this fits the bill. It’s clean and safe.
