The water at Maidstone is known for its clarity with 25 feet or better of visibility. Snorkeling is a great family activity and boating and fishing round out the top choices of many visitors. Being away from the hustle and bustle of every day life draws visitors to this wonderful lake every summer. It could be a first visit but usually not the last. State park for additional camping is located at the south end of the lake also.
