We had a very nice time here! The cabin is well appointed & comfortable, the lake is great & we enjoyed swimming and canoeing. The area is quiet & relaxing.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. Enjoyed sitting on the porch looking out at the lake. Quiet peaceful and relaxing. Our dog, Cali enjoyed swimming in the lake.
Even though most of our stay was filled with rain, it was still so relaxing - sitting on the porch and listening to the rain - it is so calming. And the sunny days we enjoyed a swim in the lake or used the canoes which are provided by the landlord. The lake's water is so clear...
The cabin has all you need, grocery stores are like 15 mins away (Lancaster NH), WiFi is good and you can even use a washer/dryer!
Overall everything was as expected. Houses a little closer than I expected. It was pretty quiet. Rained on and off first few days. Sun came out Sunday afternoon and Pond came to life.
The stay was great. The cabin is not quite secluded as I thought but it was pretty quiet. The row boat and kayaks were nice and we used them a lot. The cottage was nice although it had a bit of a weird smell. Everything else was great. It has 2 bedrooms one with a queen bed and the other with a full size bed. There were plenty of outdoor seats for sitting on the deck and enjoying the view. Definitely a nice place to get away.
Neal pond is a small but very pretty lake (too deep to be called a pond), super clean water, nice for fishing, kayaking and swimming. The house was nice, very clean and with all necessary amenities and appliances. Very safe neighborhood too. The only issue was some people in the lake practiced wakeboarding and that activity does become a nuisance for all others because the pond is too small and the wakes messed up fishing and kayaking badly.
Great location. No major problems, just some minor things that could be improved. Examples:
Screen door to the deck sticks badly.
The grill wasn't cleaned after the last renter.
Could hear small "critters" running around in the ceiling at night.
My family owns a camp across the lake but this camp captures gorgeous sunsets. It was truly heaven on earth and we didn’t want to leave!! We will def be back when our camp is full. Linda is a gracious hostess and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we n needed. The beds are super comfy and there are extra blankets for cool evenings. Didn’t need the heat at all. Laundry on site, just bring your own pods. Fully stocked kitchen and a covered deck w ample seating and cute side tables. Living room has sofa n nice recliners. I nearly fell asleep in one watching a DVD. No local TV stations or cable but that’s the best part of unplugging. Thank you Linda for your hospitality!!

Lake cottage
When we walked in the place smelled like mildew. The sheets, blankets & towels all smelled terribly like mildew. I spent 2 days of my vacation traveling to Walmart to get coffee filters, detergent and dryer sheets then washing all the sheets, blankets & towels to make them useable. The washing machine was filthy andccc I had to clean the mold from the inside gaskets. Day 3 in the coffee maker broke and we had to go again to walmart to buy one. The cable tv never really worked and when we called the number that was listed to call about it she was confused and said she would ask her daughter and call back. She never did. The tiny shower has a thick layer of mold on the inside of the door. The bathroom had a sewer odor as well. There wasn't even so much as salt & pepper in the house. You can literally pass your neighbor the toilet paper from the porch. We had to repair the oven door handle as it was hanging off one side when we got there. The grill was nasty and had no gas in it. We couldn't refill it because the tank was out of date. There was no instruction on trash removal nor whether the water was from a well or from the pond. Not at all worth the money we had to spend to stay there. We do not recommend this cabin.
We had a wonderful time at this cabin! The views are amazing! We fished a lot. We kayaked a lot. The inside is clean. We saw loons and moose. We thought from the online picture it was a bit more secluded however upon arrival there are neighbors on both sides and one is especially close to the cabin. Despite that we still had a great time and the neighbors that were there were also quiet and friendly. We would still recommend a stay here. Made lots of great memories with our kids.
We had a few issues but I have to say the owners were very responsive and more than willing to help with anything. With that said We enjoyed our stay and loved the pond and folks.
Thank you!
Tim
We enjoyed Cabin on Neals pond, our experience was awesome, swimming, kayaking, hiking and fires at night in the fire pit. We got to see the loons, ducks and just an overall nice time. We got to bring our dog which made the whole experience a delight. Thank you
This property was wonderful! The covered back porch was an absolute delight -- we spent most of our vacation there, when we weren't kayaking and walking. And the indoor furniture was comfortable as well, which is not always the case with rentals; one particularly stormy day, when the rain was blowing hard enough that we couldn't stay on the porch, we sat in the comfy recliners and watch out the wall of windows at the storm over the pond. A delight! There are a lot of neighbors, so the amount of peace and quiet depends on them, but otherwise everything was perfect.

Quaint, peaceful place.
Neals pond was great, the water was refreshing and clean. The view from the deck was perfect. Loved sitting out there in the mornings with my dog and cup of coffee. It was a bit too close to the neighbors for my liking tho, and very buggy. (They did warn us..lol)I also couldn't access my cell phone unless I drove 10 minutes to "town". (I'm the health care proxy for my mom who is in a nursing home, soo wouldn't be able to stay there again without phone access.) And I'd warn folks that the shower is very small. Very clean but small. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. 😀
