Charming Kee Ranch historic landmark, peaceful, wildlife abounds, honeymooners, nature and bird lovers' dream. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! Step back in time when you arrive at this 3-bedroom 1 and 1/2 bath built between 1865 and 1869 fully restored with some added modern amenities. This rustic Victorian farmhouse is idyllically tucked away on a hill yet within a 2-minute walk to the Bay and restaurants. Please note if you are expecting a luxury home, this is NOT for you.
The Harbor Kee Ranch is located in Bodega Bay and has 3 bedrooms with 1 and 1/2 baths. The entire house is surrounded by a picket fence with 3 latched gates. There are about 4 steps to get to the entry door. To the right is the main bedroom located on the first floor where you will find a full-size bed (not a queen-size bed since the room cannot fit a queen-size bed so please keep that in mind) with a free-standing closet. This bedroom has access to the main bathroom through a door connecting to the other side of the bedroom which also has another door that opens to the kitchen. There are 2 windows one with views of the bay and the other has a view of the backyard with lots of mature trees. To the left of the entrance door is the living room with a comfy blue sofa and loveseats. As you walk through the hallway you will see the simple yet fully equipped kitchen with seatings for 4. Please watch your step as you enter the step-down kitchen floor. The main bathroom is located to the right of the kitchen. To the left of the kitchen are the laundry room and a 1/2 bath. As you travel upstairs there are 13 steps to reach the top floor with 2 bedrooms. Please hold on to the handrail for your safety and watch your heads as you enter the bedrooms. On the right of the upstairs bedroom is a full-size bed with windows that offer beautiful bay views and greenery. Across the way, we have a queen size bed. Both windows in the queen-sized bedroom have great bay views and backyard views where you watch wild turkeys, various birds, and deer come by to munch on the fresh grass in the yard. If you wake up early you will encounter deer visiting right outside. You will hear all kinds of nature sounds from the blue herons and other songbirds to the wild turkeys here. It is quite a unique place to get away and be close to nature.

We enjoyed the stay, it was a very nice experience. There was some wildlife walking around, like turkeys and deer and quail. And it was very peaceful, next time we come back we will definitely try to book this place again
The house backs up to a Eucalyptus grove. A trio of wild turkeys regularly visited. The house was comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Cozy, comfortable, historic cottage in beautiful shaded location with view of Bodega Bay. Well appointed kitchen and bath, very comfortable furniture. Pleasant fenced yard/patio and east parking. Wild turkeys and hummingbirds present. Didn't see the deer, but their tracks were evident. Pleasant, helpful host. Great stay!
Jodie is a great host and her cottage is tucked away surrounded by wildlife. Our friend also stayed with us and, as an avid bird-watcher, he was thrilled with all of the nests nearby. Our family would definitely stay here again.
We booked this place as a homebase to explore Bodega Bay, Bodega, and Occidental for a Hitchcock lover's birthday weekend. The property was easy to find and absolutely charming! It had everything we needed for two couples and a small pup to enjoy for the weekend. Walking down to the foggy marina or along the road in the morning was magical and we loved the fenced in area for the dog to hang off leash. The smell of eucalyptus greets you when you walk out and there's a lovely view of the harbor.
We loved the historic feel of the house. The yard was so cool with wild turkeys and deer walking through. Mature trees, comfortable rooms, nice fenced in yard for our dog, laundry available. We could hear the sea lions and the fog horn. We enjoyed our time here!
What an amazing getaway! Staying in this restored old farmhouse, was so relaxing, so quiet, the nature was amazing, the house was spotless and comfy, perfect location as well. Would not hesitate to recommend to anybody.
We loved our stay. Bodega Bay is a lovely community where animals outnumber people. Sea birds, turkeys, deer, seals… House is cozy, clean, and simple. Responses from host were fast and helpful. The pictures don’t do this stay justice.

Wonderful property. Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of wild life every morning, deer and turkeys and seals barking in the harbor! The property is very clean and comfortable. The host, Jodie, is very nice and goes above and beyond to make sure that your stay is wonderful.
We loved staying in this peaceful, relaxing, historic farmhouse. Loved reading the history about the property, and seeing all the work that was put into the restoration of this amazing home. Love the wildlife coming right to the door, including the talking turkey! Our only regret was having to leave! We will definitely be back if Jodie will have us.
A bit funky, but some modernization that makes the house comfortable. You can’t beat the fresh bay air, eucalyptus trees, turkey ramblers…. Another rental next door could perhaps alter your peacefulness, but all was good for our stay and we would like to return again.

This property is a lovingly restored farmhouse from the late 1800s. It maintains its sense of being from an earlier era while having enough updates to make it comfortable for us in this current era. Located on a hill above the main road, it is quiet and peaceful, with nice outdoor spaces for humans, quail, turkeys, and more. We really enjoyed being here!
My teenage granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It feels a bit like you’re going back to a simpler time with everything you need but nothing fancy. The home was clean and perfectly peaceful. We listened to the birds saw a bald eagle in the trees next door heard a great horned owl, deer came through alongside some wild turkeys. I would definitely stay again. The Smart TV was able to provide some great Netflix movies while we did a few art projects together.
We had such a lovely time at Harbor Kee. The farmhouse reminds me of one in which I spent many happy times as a child. The location was perfect for our hikes to the bay and Bodega Head, and over the dunes to the beach - as well as getting to Fishetarian and The Birds Cafe, which we love. The yard was so quiet and peaceful and a wonderful place to hang out and watch the wild turkeys. To our amazement, we also were fortunate enough to see a pair of bald eagles in the tree across from the property! It was a once in a lifetime experience!
The four of us came together at Bodega Bay to rest and relax and see some California sites! We thoroughly enjoyed the Armstrong Redwoods, whale watching, ocean sunsets, “The Birds” sites( and then watched the movie!!). We also enjoyed some games around the patio table and the kitchen table. Found some great food and made some great food! We feel blessed and thankful for our time together( with no stress!)
Thank you!

Very Disappointed
I would not recommend this place. Could only stay one night.
Great little house!! Could use an upgrade on beds & couches. Not the most comfortable. Max thermostat should be raised to at least 67...65 was a bit cold!!
Otherwise, loved the place. Property was great for our dog!!

Julie, the Nest thermostat can always be changed manually depending on guests' preferences. You could hold it to set at a certain temperature. When the Nest does not sense people it will go back to preset temperature. Mattresses are relatively new and the firmness level liked by most guests.
The house is located in a wooded area full of deer, turkeys, quail and birds of all kinds, all of whom pass by the house and make wonderful company while you're enjoying the porch or the living room. The kitchen is nicely appointed and roomy. A two minute walk down the hill brings you to two casual and delicious seafood eateries -- Fisherman's Cove and Spud Point Crab Company -- and a marina where I saw sea lions swimming between the piers. It's a short drive to Bodega Head in one direction and Doran Regional Park in the other. Jodie is a great host, very responsive and quick to answer any questions or concerns. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Great location. Nice historical home. Simple and clean. We will stay again
