This lovely forest escape is perfect for solo travelers, couples seeking a romantic redwood getaway, and small groups or families. Sleeps up to four guests.
Living Spaces:
With views of the redwoods from every window, the cozy wood-paneled living room is the perfect gathering spot for movie night or just a glass of award-winning local wine and good conversation. This space has a 65-inch flat screen with Roku TV, two comfortable leather futon couches, and two ultra-comfy reclining chairs. You’ll also find an assortment of games here for your enjoyment.
Kitchen & Dining:
Packed with retro styling, the spacious kitchen has everything you need to prepare full meals, including oven, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as ample cabinet space, cookware, small appliances, and utensils, and an assortment of pantry staples. The classic kitchen table seats four and can play host to delicious dinners, board game night, and whatever else you have planned.
Bedrooms & Baths:
With its coastal decor and calming feel, the bright and airy bedroom ensures you sweet dreams among the redwoods. This space has a comfortable queen-size bed and lots of light. Two more guests can sleep on the futons in the living room. The full bath on this property enjoys lots of light, as well, thanks to its skylight right above the tub/shower. Find an additional half bath just off the living room.
Outdoor Amenities:
Outdoor living among redwoods! The outdoor spaces on this property offer so many possibilities for relaxation. Hang up the hammock and take a siesta on the new redwood deck with superb views staring up at the trees. The neighborhood is down below. The classic Adirondack chairs here are a wonderful spot for bird watching, wine or coffee-sipping, or just whiling the day away.
In the back of the cabin you’ll find the private enclosed patio. Prepare a meal on the propane grill and dine al fresco at the shaded patio set. Rest easy in the reclining sun loungers. Or sit out under the stars and soak in the Sundance hot tub after a day spent hiking, wine tasting, and enjoying everything the Russian River area has to offer. We’ve even provided two spa-quality cotton robes for you to wrap up in afterwards!
Other things to note:
No parties or large gatherings. Sonoma County has a noise ordinance for quiet hours between 9pm-7am. No outdoor amplified sound is allowed.
We are a baby-friendly home! We offer a Graco Pack 'n Play crib (on request), sheets, baby gates (on request), burp cloths, toys and books. Our place is not suitable for toddlers or preschoolers due to the high elevation of the property, but it's great for older, mellow kids.
No animals allowed.
You will have the entire place to yourself. No shared spaces.
Unfortunately, this property is not wheelchair accessible. Guests must be able to walk up a steep hill to access the property.
The house is equipped with one exterior security camera for safety reasons only. It is located at the top of the stairs and faces down toward the street. There are no other cameras anywhere on the premises.
A designated parking space is available for your use next to the deck. There is additional street parking available nearby. The property across the street is not mine; parking there means you risk getting towed.
To ensure your comfort, the cabin has been outfitted with a brand new heat pump for climate control.
The cabin is located uphill in a beautiful pocket of forest just five minutes on foot from the riverfront, a restaurant, and local brewery. Downtown Guerneville, a liberal and very LGBTQ+ friendly community with good food, music, and culture, is just a 25-minute walk away through lush forest.
When you’re ready to venture farther out, River Road is close by and allows you access to plenty of charming towns, including Sebastopol, Jenner, Bodega Bay, Healdsburg, Occidental, and Petaluma. This is the perfect starting point for your Sonoma County wine tour.

The cottage was delightful, nestled among redwood trees. It was clean and cozy, yet had all the amenities necessary to cook full meals. There was excellent heating and probably cooling, but we didn't need it. The best was a completely private back patio area with a hot tub.Our host, Lexi, was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

This place was perfect for our trip and Lexi was a great host and was super communicative. The entire process was super simple and easy and we had a great time. Walking to town was super easy and the home itself was cozy and lovely to hang out in, especially the hot tub. Would definitely come back, we loved it.

This was an amazing place to stay! There is so many things to see (Armstrong Redwoods, Sonoma coast state park, Russian River) and you get a good sense of isolation while not being too far from civilization.

We had a very relaxing time. Loved the convenience of the brewery across the street and having the jacuzzi every night already hot and ready for us. Bed was extremely cozy and having all the tv media outlets available for evening movies was a bonus too.

Comfortable, clean, private place in the beautiful redwoods. Nice BBQ with all the tools and lots of spices for cooking. A pub and deli on the river within walking distance if you don't want to cook. Can walk to town on a neighborhood road with more redwoods. Host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. And, we did. Highly recommend.

Excellent communication, helpful tips, air conditioning was a life saver for the heat. Patio and deck were lovely to spend time amongst the trees. I partticularly enjoyed the old school microwave and hood, and found the kicthen to be very capable. The baby travel crib was super helpful as well for our 9 month old.

About the host
Hosted by Lexi
Greetings! I’m Lexi, a world traveler who’s been to 17 countries and 34 states. Originally from New York, I’ve been returning to the Russian River Valley for years. It just has my heart. I love that there’s something wonderful to do or see within 30 minutes in any direction: cute towns, redwoods, the river, the ocean, fabulous hiking trails, wineries, and much more.
I fell in love with this 100+ year-old cabin when I stayed here, myself, as a vacation renter. Since then, I’ve purchased the property and plan to use it for years to come whenever I visit the Russian River area. I’m also continuing the tradition of sharing this wonderful cabin with new visitors to the area. I hope you fall in love with it, too.
Why they chose this property
I love the Russian River area and keep returning to it. I fell in love with this cabin after visiting it as a renter!
What makes this property unique
Leave your stress behind! At this peaceful forest retreat, perched on a hill, your only commute is a breathtaking walk through the redwoods to the nearby river, restaurant and local brewery, and downtown Guerneville. But why leave when staying in is so nice? Relax on the brand new Trex and redwood deck complete with hammock and cozy Adirondack chairs, or take a dip in the hot tub or cook your meal on the grill on the private enclosed patio. Let this enchanted wooded spot cast its spell on you!
The cabin is located in a quiet pocket of forest just five minutes on foot from the riverfront, a restaurant, and local brewery. Downtown Guerneville, a liberal and very LGBTQ+ friendly community with good food, music, and art, is just a 25-minute walk away through lush forest.
When you’re ready to venture farther out, River Road is close by and allows you access to plenty of charming towns, including Sebastopol, Jenner, Bodega Bay, Healdsburg, Occidental, and Petaluma. This is the perfect starting point for your Sonoma County wine tour!
