Other Things to Note: About your hosts:
Thank you for your interest in our cabin! Since 1999, our family has gathered here at The Cove at Doublehead each summer to unwind and just be together. Our daughters are young adults now (our oldest got married here at Doublehead in 2024!) and have lifelong memories of being here with us, their grandparents, cousin, aunt and uncle. Seasons change and we are grateful to be a part of continuing this family tradition by owning our very own cabin right next door to family. We want to share this blessing by opening up our cabin for others to enjoy, make memories, and begin their own family traditions. When we had to choose a name for our cabin, as hosts we could think of no better name. Welcome to A Family Tradition.
Interaction with Guests: Please message me with any questions or concerns. I am always available to help! **$50 pet fee per stay. This may be sent in a separate link from the owner if not included in the original booking total.**

We loved our rental. The owner provided all kinds of little things for our stay from water bottles, to all the things we needed for Smore's...it made it very easy to come in with a tow year old and start to relax immediately. Highly recommend this place for families.

Thank you for your sweet review, Anita! We’re so happy your family had a great stay at our cabin. We look forward to having you back again!
We had a wonderful time and plan to make it 'A Family Tradition' for our family. The water views are fabulous with different water fowl to enjoy daily. Our hostess Kellie had decorated the already gorgeous cabin for the Holidays and there are too many amenities to mention. It was a cold spell during our stay so we had a cozy fire in beautiful fireplace. I can only imagine the fun to had on the water or fishing during the warm months. Check it out for yourself.

We loved everything about this home! The back porch was our favorite spot - so easy to watch kids fishing and enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the water. We’ll definitely be back!

We were all so pleased with the cabin and the personalized touches they left to make us feel welcome! The cabin was just as pictured and everything was lovely. Our favorite view is the water view while sitting on the deck We will definitely book this cabin again!

EXCELLANT,
We spent four days indoors due to the rainy weather. Very comfortable, well equipped, quite and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the book "Devotions by the River".

The property was absolutely wonderful to stay at! We even have the cutest welcome package when we arrived and enjoyed our s’mores over the fire pit! The owners were very good at communicating and super sweet! We were even able to add an extra day last minute since it was open! I would definitely recommend and hopefully be able to return for another getaway soon!

Thank you for your sweet feedback, Katie! I’m so happy you and your family enjoyed your quiet weekend away! We would love to have you back!
The cabin is very well stocked with everything you need to cook a full course meal along with coffee and bottled water and snacks to get your started. My husbands favorite part was sitting in the comfy recliner and watching the big screen TV, it was just like home! The beds were comfy, the place was very clean and the view was incredible! I've stayed at several vacation rentals and this has been my favorite so far. We will probably be back next year!

The cabin was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. The younger ones went kayaking and boating. The big porch accommodated everyone's needs. We had a good time.

We’re so happy you and your family had a good time! We always want our cabin to feel like home to our guests. We appreciate you and look forward to having you come back!
Everything was perfect and just as pictured and described. The host reached out to see if anything was needed and to wish us a great stay. This was my parents first vacation in at least 15 years and everything we needed was available at the cabin.
We visited due to my step-daughter’s
Wedding and this place was beautifully decorated and in a great location. We enjoyed the lake and the grandkids came over and enjoyed fishing off the the dock. It was very clean and well cared for. The beds were comfy and we had such a good time that we decided to stay another night and the owner accommodated us very quickly. We visit Alabama often because we have family there so we will be back!

This cabin is set in a gated lakefront community. The cabin was impeccably clean and fully stocked. The beds were so comfortable and we slept peacefully. The furnishings are all updated. The kitchen had a fully stocked coffee bar. Beautiful lakefront deck and fire pit that is steps from the water. We will definitely come back!

Thank you for the wonderful review! We are so happy you all enjoyed your stay. We look forward to having you back again!
Spent 3 nights with 3 out-of-state friends...all women in our late 60's. Had a blast (although we were interrupted for a couple hours due to tornado scare.) Enjoyed catching up while taking in lakeview out on veranda. Played scrabble, euchre, and VR games we brought along. Many laughs and lots of new memories created. Only downfall was unable to get sound on TV in living room...but had little time for that anyway. Needed help with clogged toilet, but problem addressed promptly. Would definitely book again.
