Our summer stay at Griswold Point was peaceful, relaxing and beautiful! The property and accommodations are truly accurate to the listing provided. Communication with the host, Caroline, was effortless. We hope to return!Linda, Fred & Oliver
We were here this past August, loved it so much that we hoped to return during the Holiday season. We were not disappointed in the least! Caroline, the host, added extra special touches to make our stay so warm and inviting! We were pleasantly surprised to see a tree, chocolates, holiday candle & soaps. We even awoke to falling snow upon our departure…we didn’t want to leave!Linda, Fred & Oliver
Lovely modern renovated house on the beautiful Griswold Point property. Very nice patio area with grill too. Kitchen well equipped and comfy living and bedrooms. Perfect for the three of us on our annual family trip to Old Lyme. Will rent again in the future.
Griswold Point is a special place for us. We have spent many years enjoying the area. It feels like home, is serene and quiet. The nearby rivers and marshes are great for kayaking and birding. And Old Lyme is one of those timeless, beautiful New England towns you will never forget.

This is quite possibly the best property in which I have ever stayed! The house was extremely clean. The bedrooms were a lovely size. The property itself is calm and serene and the beach was beautiful. Joe thought of everything! I am already looking forward to staying at this property again.

Thanks, Mary, for your feedback. We are glad you and your family enjoyed your stay and look forward to your next visit!
We had a marvelous, restful 2 weeks here. Everything was new and fresh and comfortable. We were able to make bbq ribs, clam chowder and Swedish coffee bread for family and friends. The kitchen had everything we needed. I didn’t expect to be able to have espresso! The beach is a lovely 1/2 mile walk and all the equipment, including a beach wagon, is available. We’d definitely recommend this home!
We (Caroline & JT) own Joe's house a part of our family estate that's been in the family since the 1600's. We consider ourselves stewards of this unique, historic, peaceful and beautiful setting at the mouth of the CT river. Our family loves our visits from our neighborhood osprey, egret, heron, fox, rabbit, deer and even the occasional coyote! And we enjoy maintaining and improving the property year-after-year and love sharing it with others who value the same things.
