Guests can enjoy the private property including yard space, fire pit, and, of course, your own private dock on Crooked Lake. The house comes equipped with complementary canoes for your enjoyment. Crooked Landing is located on Crooked Lake in northern Michigan. The house is located in Alanson, Michigan also near the small towns of Oden and Conway. Crooked Landing is in close proximity to larger, more iconic northern Michigan towns like Harbor Springs (10 minutes) and Petoskey (7 minutes). The location is ideal for year-round activities like shopping and wineries as well as seasonal activities like boating, ice fishing, snowmobiling and skiing. Conveniently located next to Windjammer Marina for easy access to boat rentals during the summer months. For bikers, runners, and snowmobilers, the Petoskey to Mackinaw Trail is located across the street. The parking area can accommodate up to six vehicles and the dock has space for a couple boats and jet skis.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Plenty of rooms and beds for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The host was very quick to respond when we had any questions. The snow was awesome, making down hill and cross country skiing and sledding great!! We also enjoyed shopping in Petoskey and Harbor Springs.

Excellent property for a family vacation

The property was very nicely decorated with a nice open concept. The outside areas were also very nice. It was close to Petoskey and Harbor Springs which was great as well. We golfed some great courses and also did a day trip to Mackinaw IslandThe hosts were great and very responsive to any questions we had.

Labor Day Weekend at Crooked Lake

The cottage was great - my family and I loved it! We spent the entire weekend boating and wave-running all over Crooked Lake and Pickerel Lake. The place is very modern - amenities are first-rate, the location is primo, and the property was immaculate! We will be coming back!!

Great Family lake house

Crooked Landing offers a very updated and comfortable home just 25’ from the dock on Crooked Lake, which is great for swimming, tubing, fishing and all sorts of fun. The Owner communicated with us in a very timely and helpful manner. We had 13 and the house accommodated our grout easily.

Wonderful Family Lake house

This beautiful home on Crooked Lake has everything a family needs to enjoy a perfect Northern Michigan experience. Its own dock, plenty of lounging space on multiple decks and patios, a fire pit and wonderfully appointed guest rooms and bathrooms. Hosts Kate and Brent were available for any questions we had, helped us with local recommendations and were overall extraordinarily accommodating to any special requests we had. I would rent this house anytime!

Best week on Crooked Lake

This home and location were amazing. Everyone hated to leave and asked that I book for next summer already. Just so relaxing Lake calm and clear Fishing from the dock Marina just next door for boating and tubing and home provided kayak and paddle board too Walking/biking path Close to Petoskey for boutique shopping and meals out Mackinac island was a great easy day trip Brent and Kate were amazing hosts with beautiful clean home and gorgeous views

Hello! Our names are Brent and Kate. We own and manage Crooked Landing on Crooked Lake and Bear Cabin on Crooked River. Our hobbies include travel, good food, boating and winter sports activities like skiing and snowmobiling. We have been visiting northern Michigan for our whole lives.

Why they chose this property

Recently we made our dream of owning waterfront property in northern Michigan a reality when we bought Bear Cabin. Fast forward a couple years to when Crooked Landing became available and we knew it was a great fit for us and our family! The location of this property on Crooked Lake as well as its proximity to Petoskey and Harbor Springs truly is the best of both worlds. We love hosting families in our homes and all the wonderful things that northern Michigan has to offer. This area of the state has something to offer year-round and we cannot wait to share it with you!
