Location description
Not far from the Tropic of Cancer in the subtropical region of Baja California Sur, Mexico lies tranquility on the East Cape of San Jose Del Cabo. Approximately 20 minutes from the village town of San Jose Del Cabo, many who have once experienced this location of Playa Tortuga (Turtle Beach) return for the fishing off of Gordo Banks and the surfing at Shipwrecks beach. San Jose Del Cabo has a wonderful art district, quaint downtown plaza surrounded by a diverse selection of shopping, restaurants, and Cabo’s first craft brewery Baja Brewing Company.
It is a place where you can gear down and be healed by the warmth of the sand and sun, the walks and views of the Sea of Cortez, and the sight of the night sky - the beauty of the Milky Way, full of stars that appear so close you can touch them. In the early mornings you will see the pangas (boats) venturing out for the catch of the day. And if you are lucky enough to be here on a full moon you can walk the beach at night, lit up by the light of the moon! Or, just clear your mind; turn off your cell phone grab a cold drink and a good book and be. Some of the desert animals you may see on the road are wild horses and burros, cows, goats, and foxes.

Why they chose this property
My husband and I have been camping in Baja California for many years. We started in Northern Baja and gradually made are way down to Los Cabos where we camped for several years on the property where we built our home two years ago. Many of our friends that have camped with us for so many years now have homes here on the East Cape.
What makes this property unique
Sitting in my living room I can look out my sliding glass pocket doors to our patio, pool, and see the waves breaking in the Sea of Cortez. Morning fishing boats can be seen making their way out to the Gordo Banks hoping to bring home their catch of the day. It is a great home to feel away from it all and enjoy the elements of the desert and ocean, yet a nice balance being close enough to town to feel one has the best of both worlds!
