Welcome to Goat Rock Cabin. We are a natural and secluded hideaway tucked into the hillside of Hot Springs Mountain, yet less than a mile from Bathhouse Row and our beautiful Downtown. Perfect for solo or couple travelers and their furry friends, our private and peaceful property boasts a large fenced-in backyard, heated outdoor shower, and spacious gravel patio with natural stone fire pit.
The Inside:
Our recently updated 1 bedroom cabin makes a statement for simplicity and disconnecting from the digital world. You are warmly greeted in the living room by a wood burning stove and 100-year-old salvaged pine floors. Our fully furnished kitchen is complete with a retro fridge, 5-burner gas stove, microwave, under-cabinet lighting, extensive cookware/utensils, and full coffee bar. The bedroom is fresh and cozy and the bathroom is newly renovated. Put a vinyl on the stereo record player while you are unpacking, preparing a meal, reading a book, or lighting a fire to knock the chill out of the room.
*Please note that we do not have a television at this property. We do have fast internet that will allow you to stream entertainment if you would like to bring your own device(s).
The Outside:
Throw open the doors on our covered side patio and enjoy sitting or working at the bar in the fresh air. Or step into our backyard oasis; lined on two sides by wild blackberry vines, generously landscaped with native plants, and canopied by mature shade trees, you will not feel like you are in the middle of town. Lounge in our comfortable rockers on the gravel patio while spotting songbirds, or catch views of the Hot Springs Tower while swaying in the provided hammock. Towards the end of the day, flip on the string lights and start a fire in the outdoor chimney as the Ouachita night air settles into the valley. Listen for the owls…they are frequently heard at night calling from the forest on the side of the mountain.
The main event is our heated outdoor shower with high-pressure rain head, located in the private side patio. Whether for a quick rinse or a longer soak to knock off the dirt from a long day of hiking, biking, and paddling, you won’t want to leave this shower. Words can’t describe it. Just try it.
The Location:
When you’re ready to explore the best of Hot Springs and the Ouachitas, Goat Rock Cabin is the perfect jumping off point. Access to the Hot Springs National Park hiking trail system is 1.5 blocks from the cabin and connects with 25 miles worth of hiking/running trails. The Northwoods Trails, Arkansas' top-rated mountain biking trail system, is bikeable via downtown and only 3 miles away. Oaklawn Racing and Casino is also within 3 miles. Beautiful and historic Downtown is within 1 mile and offers countless opportunities for strolling, dining, and shopping, along with the paved Greenway Trail and a weekend Farmer’s Market at the old train depot. Stunning Lake Ouachita State Park is within a 30-minute drive, and an abundance of whitewater and flatwater paddling opportunities are within a one-hour drive.
