The house is a nice rustic-style home with two bedrooms located on the hills above the valley and overlooking the mountains on the other side. The porch is lovely for sitting out and enjoying the view and there is a wood stove and wood for cool evenings.
Great place for a great price. Close by to the Kern River and Lake Isabella. If you enjoy fishing, rafting, boating and hiking this is the perfect location for you.
We loved the view! Only stayed for one night, just passing through. Although we got in late, liked the bathtub and choice of bath salts. Host also supplied 4 hot chocolates for our kiddos. The fireplace was already set up to light so that was nice. Thank you!
Quiet nights with beautiful starry skies, plenty of road to go on walks out hikes. Wood furnace was awesome.
The host is nearby and responsive, and also very knowledgeable on the history of the location.
We enjoyed the stay and the much needed tranquil, quiet cabin and will definitely be back again!
Since we arrive, the magical neighborhood welcomed us with the rabbits around. It feels really lively and purest place, the rocks, the sky, we instantly fall into love
We we opened the doors my cousins was so excited and when you see the kids having fun, it’s all that you need. It’s a piano and nice place at the back.
Thank you for everything
If you are staying here for the secluded location and proximity to nature than this is a great place. The stars are beautiful at night and if you’re lucky a friendly neighborhood dog will visit you on the porch. It is Located 45 ish minutes to red rocks state park.
However, the place could have been cleaned better as there was a half drank beer can on the grill outside, cheerios on the kitchen floor and a sock behind furniture. The carpet should probably be shampooed or something too. Also, the hot water did not work great.
But the place was as described and is still a good value. There’s a full kitchen and two bathrooms and two rooms. Was honestly a lot for a solo traveler. The host was very communicative, though mistakenly informing me about a laptop charger that I left, when I did not bring a laptop with me.
Would absolutely recommend, just suggest a more thorough cleaning before guests arrive.
Wow. What a place. The location is amazing, the scenery and sights will blow your mind. Wait until nighttime and see the whole milky way in the sky!
Yes, the interior looks dated, but it fits the whole vibe and has everything and all the facilities you need. The host is brilliant and communicative. Was even there to welcome us! Definitely recommend staying more than one night so you appreciate the location more. Is a destination rather than a waypoint on a journey. Very family friendly, with games to occupy kids. Large bath and shower to wash away the travel tiredness. There's now even WiFi if you need that internet hit.
