This property is like nothing you've ever seen. After 2 years of renovation, we welcome you to the Stone Manor --a 150-year-old former Shaker workshop, now a modern home that combines 21st amenities with the historic past of a Shaker settlement. If you are interested in hosting a wedding here, please search The Ruins at Sassafras. The space This house was the Shaker Brethren's Workshop where the Shakers packaged seeds. We renovated every inch of the house but retained the Shaker details: wide board pine floors, peg board, even the paint colors are those approved by the Shakers. The house is elegant, yet comfortable. Five en-suite bedrooms, a sitting room, family room, and professional kitchen abound with creative touches and overlook a pond, waterfall, historic ruins, meadows, woods, and perennial gardens. You'll never forget the spectacular views of the Lebanon Valley. We also offer the Caretaker's Cottage next door, which sleeps six. Guest access You are welcome to enjoy the Rose Dwelling for cocktails, The Ruins for dinner, the forest and meadows for hiking.
Additional rules We will leave a big basket of slippers near the front door and ask that you don't wear shoes in the house to help us preserve the 200-year-old floors.

We had a wonderful visit with an extended family group. The house and grounds were a perfect setting for hanging out, cooking, playing, having together time and alone time.
Carol was a terrific host, and shared fascinating stories about the history of the property and the area.
Amazing sunsets!
We rented the stunningly renovated house and cottage for a summer weekend. The property is a gem and the design and decor are immaculate and the backyard view is sunset heaven. Close to great local restaurants, jiminy peak and tanglewood. Owners are easy to access as they are around maintaining the spaces, which include a barn for weddings/events. Hope to stay again here!
The property is fabulous! Nine of us gathered for three fantastic days and two wonderful nights to enjoy ballet at Jacob's Pillow and a day of R&R at Kripalu, just across the state line from Columbia County, New York into Berkshire County, Massachusetts, as we headed into a wedding weekend in New Hampshire. The accommodations were stellar, and our hosts magnificent. The three main bedrooms are luxurious, while the two bedrooms with two twin beds each are adorable and well-suited for children and others who don't approach five feet in height. The books in the living room clearly show that a lot of thought went into developing the collection, and the kitchen could not be better out-fitted with a big refrigerator/freezer, two dishwashers, a double sink and another sink, a large stove and oven, and a fully array of oils, condiments, and spices and herbs. The grounds are stunning and include outdoor dining, grill, and fireplace!
