Enjoy the cedar-canopied hot tub on the brand-new deck and let the natural light fill the space while you relax and decompress among the surrounding trees. Unwind after a day of adventure at the beach with the perfect tranquil retreat.

**Please note: The cottage has only one full bathroom with a shower/bathtub. If you're booking for a group of six, please ensure you're comfortable with this setup.

Host Rules:
Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
Age min: must be 25 years or older to book
Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.
During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps. If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments.
3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays
Pet Policy: 2 dog max and must be owner approved plus paid for before arrival. Sorry no cats!
Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws
Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

• 30-day notice required for a full refund.
• Cancellations within the 30 days: Non-refundable.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.

We had an amazing time at skylight cottage. The house is wonderful and the hot tub is just amazing. The only thing that stood out to us as maybe needing some attention was the dining room chairs. The fake leather was starting to peel and was making a mess in the floor.

We had a wonderful stay at Skylight Cottage! Communication was always friendly and smooth. The cottage felt like a true home away from home— super clean, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. It's also very baby-friendly, which made our stay even more comfortable. The location was amazing—close to everything. We also loved how the area is surrounded by trees, perfect for peaceful walks or morning runs. One of our favorite features was the cedar-canopied hot tub and bbq on the deck.

Directions & entry requirements were clear and provided in advance. Location was Perfect, close to everything. Spacious for 4 girls travelling with a bed for each of us. A complete kitchen to enjoy making breakfast there to start our day. Would highly recommend and would be my to go place if I were back in the area again. A little piece of paradise

Beautiful and private location in the trees. Quick drive to town and beaches, easy walking distance of the brewery and distillery. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space (hottub, firepit, etc.) Very cozy inside, love the wood detailing/skylights and the soaps provided smell divine. Hosts were responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Skylight Cottage was perfect. The property is perfectly private while being centrally located. The cottage was beautiful with all the amenities. The kids loved their rooms and being able to have a little room to play outside. However, we were so close to all the amazing beaches, shops and restaurants we spent most of our time exploring.

Great little cottage!

We had a great stay here. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, minus the hot tub that needed a bit of extra care. The manager had it taken care of quickly and we were very happy with everything else. Great location, and comfortable for the group of 5 we had. Well-equipped kitchen. They thought of everything. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and kids had never been to Tofino, and I hadn’t been back in nearly 20 years—so much has changed in this little town! I couldn’t believe how busy it is now! Thankfully, we were lucky to find accommodations just minutes from town and the nearby beaches. Skylight Cottage completely exceeded our expectations. It’s such a beautiful home, thoughtfully designed with natural elements like handcrafted wood railings and accents. The bathroom was modern, the rooms were spacious, and the hot tub out back was a wonderful bonus! The space felt so bright, open, and welcoming—everyone slept soundly in the cozy beds. Everything we needed for a relaxing vacation was provided, so we didn’t have to bring much—just ourselves! I especially loved the hand soap and shampoo/conditioner, which smelled amazing and were made by local Vancouver Island businesses. A lovely touch! We even had a couple of rainy days, but there were board games and books available to keep us entertained. Honestly, we loved everything about this place and didn’t want to leave! We’re already looking forward to coming back to Tofino next summer—and we’ll definitely be booking with TofinoVR again!
