The Space:
The mountain air carries the scent of pine and fresh earth as you step onto the wraparound deck, steam rising from the hot tub while sunrise paints the valleys in soft gold. Bathrooms & essentials
Three full bathrooms provide hot water and bathroom essentials. A washer and dryer are available for longer stays or active days on the trails.
Kitchen & dining
The open kitchen is fully equipped for meal preparation, and a large island bar flows into a spacious dining area where everyone can gather around the table. A grill is ready for use when the weather permits, extending your dining options onto the deck or porch.
Living spaces
The main living area centers around a rustic fireplace, farmhouse‑inspired wood beams, and a Smart TV. Wi‑Fi covers the home, though the remote setting can make the signal slower or spotty—downloading essential content ahead of time is recommended. A dedicated workspace lets you blend a bit of remote work with mountain relaxation.
Outdoor living
Beyond the hot tub, a fire pit offers a cozy spot for starlit conversations. The covered porch, screened porch, and wraparound deck provide multiple ways to enjoy the crisp spring air, whether you’re grilling, reading, or simply watching the landscape awaken.
Neighborhood
Great Cacapon sits in the Appalachian Mountains, a short drive from Berkeley Springs’ historic hot springs, galleries, and local dining. Nearby parks and scenic drives invite hiking, biking, and exploring the blooming countryside.
Pet‑friendly
Dogs are welcome to share the cabin experience; cats are not allowed due to allergies. The home is thoughtfully set up for families, groups, and reunions, offering space for everyone to unwind together.
Perfect for
Family gatherings, group retreats, or a peaceful mountain escape where each season invites you to slow down, savor the moment, and create lasting memories.

About the host
Hosted by Tony Cappaert
I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Mountain Maple cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
