About this property
Open for Summer 2026 - Lake Michigan Private Beach
This well appointed single story home is a 10 minute walk to a private Beach on Lake Michigan. It sits on a beautiful secluded lot with lots of mature trees. There are patios in the front and back yard with a rock Fire Pit out back. It's a great place to lay back in the Hammock and relax the day away.
When you walk in the front door the Vaulted Ceiling makes it feel very big and open. There are two large sliding glass doors that span the living room and dining room and bring the back yard into the house. A wood burning fireplace, a flat screen TV and wireless internet access will give you all of the comforts of home. The kitchen includes an eat-in banquette, honed granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.
To the left of the entrance are three bedrooms and two baths. The first room has a queen sized bed and a unique closet made from an old barn door. The next room has two XL twin beds and a large closet. There is a common bathroom with a tub. The Master follows and is a large room with a king bed, lots of closet space and an attached master bath featuring pebble floors and a glass shower.
It's a quiet retreat and a great place to relax.

About the host
Hosted by Michele & Steve Adelman
Steve grew up in Essexville, MI and Michele is from Minnesota, but spent over 15 years in Chicago working for Kraft Foods. We met in Memphis, TN our primary residence in addition to Union Pier. We were married at the Journeyman in Three Oaks in 2019. Steve just wrote his first book, Nocturnal Admissions, a memoir of funny stories from a 30 year career running legendary nightclubs in the US. This picture is from the book signing at the New Buffalo Library in JULY, 2022.
Why they chose this property
We love the small town feel of Harbor Country and the great options for dining, breweries, hikes, Lake Michigan and close proximity to Chicago.
What makes this property unique
There's nothing better than bringing a bottle of wine down to the beach to watch the sunset (perk of a private beach). It is considered one of the nicest beaches in the area.
