Experience the awe-inspiring waterfront sunsets from this remarkable 4 bedroom+, 2.5 bath retreat on Plum Island. Sunrise more your thing? Enjoy panoramic views of the sunrise over the ocean from your private roof-top deck, one of the highest points on the Island! This idyllic oasis has ample outdoor space for entertaining, providing sweeping 360-degree views of the Island, a charming front porch to observe the marsh wildlife, and a back deck off the kitchen for grilling up fresh and local seafood. Nestled along the River, this property is just a stone's throw away from beloved local establishments such as the Sunset Club, the Cottage Creamery and Mad Martha's. Short 7 minute walk to the beautiful beach!

Sunset Tides has 4 private bedrooms (2 kings, 1 queen, 1 full) and a full sized pull out couch in the third floor family room. Two living areas, with an open kitchen and dining room that seats 14. The third floor family room is equipped with a custom bar, mini fridge, game table and work space.

Rooftop deck (accessed by spiral staircase from 3rd floor deck) is complete with a sectional sofa, chairs and railing bar top. The front porch has a table that seats 10, along with two lounge chairs and three rocking chairs (perfect to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine).

Parking can easily hold 6 cars with two car ports and ample space behind the house.

Great hosting house

Lovely weekend away

We had a lovely time. The home is exactly as described and the pictures are accurate. Very clean and the location is perfect. Even though it rained all weekend the 3 families had plenty of space inside the home and we enjoyed the ambience of the mist over the marshes. It was the perfect place to spend my mothers 70th bday.

Perfect home to connect with extended family and relax!

The home was spacious, clean and comfortable! My sisters and I live hours away from each other. My 93 year old dad wanted to spend time close to his birthplace and share his experiences growing up with us. Location was perfect! Quick walk to the beach, corner bar, ice cream shop and plenty of shopping to do in town.

Plum Island

The house was beautiful, comfortable and fairly close to the beach. A great place for a family gathering. The kitchen was well-equipped and conducive to cooking family meals. The front deck and upper deck afforded great views and a tranquil place to enjoy a glass of wine. Loved having 2.5 bathrooms and the basement fridge came in handy! I’d love to come back!

Well-supplied and roomy house near the beach

We stayed at the house with my in-laws and the house fit the 9 of us well. The house was well supplied. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, plenty of beach gear was supplied and there was even a toy box and kids toys for the little ones. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure guests have everything they need. The beach is a 5 minute walk if you are a fast walked and there is an ice cream place and a couple casual restaurants within walking distance. We loved watching the sunset on the roof!

Peaceful Beach Retreat with Spectacular Sunsets

Our stay at Sunset Tides was simply incredible. From the ease of booking and seamless check-in process, our trip started off great and as soon as you enter the property you won’t want to leave. The house is amazing: extremely welcoming, incredibly comfortable and great for all ages. Our three children loved all the toys and games available, and the adults enjoyed the many levels of entertainment heaven. The views are spectacular and the sunsets were picturesque. We loved being able to walk to the beach daily and have restaurants and shops within walking distance as well, in addition to a short 5 minute drive to downtown Newburyport. There’s truly something for everyone at this property and we can’t wait to stay at Sunset Tides for years to come.

Perfect house for adults trip!

Sunset Tides is a beautiful house, we only wish we could have stayed longer! We booked this house for a birthday weekend with 4 adult couples and it was the perfect amount of space! Bedrooms were spread out for plenty of privacy and the open living spaces allowed us all to hang out comfortably for meals and games. The decks provided INCREDIBLE views at any time of day and a short walk to the beach made this place a dream. The kitchen was well stocked for our chef friends to cook meals. And the hosts were helpful and easy to deal with. Thank you! We can’t wait to come back to Plum Island!

We love Sunset Tides!

Our group of friends had a great stay at Sunset Tides! The house had plenty of space for our large group to spread out and also to enjoy meals and hang out together. The kitchen is stocked with everything for cooking at home! Super comfy beds all around. Gorgeous views from every window. We loved watching the sunset from the various decks (and the living room couch!), even in the cold! Lots of stairs, but it didn’t bother us (main level is actually 2nd floor, etc) Can’t beat the location on the Island, walking distance to it all. Very quiet this time of year! Town was a quick ride for a nice dinner out one night. We will definitely be back!

This is an awesome place. Amazing views from the roof deck. Quick walk to the beach and restaurants, and a quick drive to downtown Newburyport. All the rooms in the house were spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend!
