Everything was great! House was clean, close to the lake, decent neighborhood. Hot tube was nice and very private. A stocked Coffee bar was a great bonus. Will definitely stay again.
This place really was excellent. It genuinely felt like we were in a cottage up north. The walk to the beach is really short and while we didn’t swim, it was nice to walk along the water. My partner loved the bathroom. She said it was the nicest clawfoot she’d ever been in. The water was plenty hot for a lovely soak. The hot tub was definitely the highlight of the property. I wouldn’t hesitate to (and probably will) stay at this location in the future. A note to future renters, the pics make this look like a guest house of a larger property. It’s not, it’s its own address.
Great experience, the house is a cute little spot to escape for a bit and had everything we could think to need. Hot tub was delightful and the host was very responsive.
To walk in to a cute little house that's beautifully decorated in beach theme and all the amenities and features and thought to each item a person might need for a home away from home was there. The first night we were exhausted from 10hr travel from NC to Michigan we were able to settle in and order a delicious pizza from Detroit Pizzeria down the road. Being 3 minutes from the Vrbo, it was quick, hot, fresh, and just what we needed to get rested up to meet my moms biological family for the first time for a birthday party planned for my mom. It was so wonderful. Id love to see it in the summertime. Thank you so much for your beautiful vrbo that gave my family this opportunity. Definitely will be back!
This is a very cute and very small property in a very closely spaced neighborhood near Lake Erie. We found that there is not much to do in the area, at least in February. We left a day early because of this and the lack of a shower to go with a very cute clawfoot tub with a hard to operate hot water source. The owners were great to work with, however.
This little bungalow was a treat to stay in! I took away a star because the mattress was very very hard, and the tub water wouldn't get hot. Other than that, everything was great!
The property was clean and had everything needed. This property is best for two people, the walk down to the beach is a quick walk and the view is beautiful even in the middle of January. My only advice are to avoid sleeping on the futon (my back still aches) and wear layers as it is very cold until the heat warms the space enough which took about 3 hours (only relevant in the winter). Aside from that I would stay here again for a peaceful getaway! Thank you!
Great time. Close to nice looking beach. Close to Kroger for groceries! Very cozy and cute little place to stay. Already thinking about coming back here in the summer.
Wow, this was such a lovely gem in such a nice spot! So close to a private beach, it was so gorgeous to go look out at the water. This place was so cozy, and the complimentary bath salts and wine were so lovely. The only thing we think could be improved is the mattress. I know everyone likes a different mattress, but it was as stiff as a board. It was so hard we barely got any sleep, and what we did wasn’t that good. It made us so sad because we love literally everything else about this place! Would definitely come back if the mattress was different.
We really liked the place, it was very clean. There were lots of spiders and webs outside the doors, and very hot in the bedroom. Seems no ac gets back there very well but overall it was very nice place
The bungalow was spotless and adorable, just as shown in the listing. The hosts were easy to reach out to if necessary, and made us feel comfortable with our stay! We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the neighborhood was very friendly. Our visit was everything we had hoped it would be, and more!
Supper relaxing clean all new towels and linen
Very quiet nabor hood
Owners are great to communicate with
I will be staying here again next year if available
I very much enjoyed my stay. Everything that I needed was there as well as a complimentary bottle of wine which was very much appreciated. The beach is just a short walk away and would have been great except for the algae level which was bad when I was there. I was quite comfortable.
My stay was HORRIBLE. The first thing they asked me was why i wanted to rent it. I said im celebrating my 10th yr of fighting cancer. Which let them know I was a health risk.
My first morning I woke up coughing, and was looking at weather.com to see the weather for the day and make plans on what we wated to do. The news and weather.com said how much of a health hazard it was to use a window ac unit because the smoke comes inside the cabin but does not exit, putting me at high risk. So i message them telling them I cannot stay there so she gives me the option of getting a refund or I could pay the difference and go to a bigger place. I decided to go home. I was expecting a redund all except the first day which was $183, nope they charged me $220 and said I have to pay cancelation fees...why should i have to pay cancelation fees for their properties ac unit not working? Also after me pointing it out to them the health risks they are still continuing to put other people at risk right now as we speak.
This stay was so cute and one of the best places my sister, friend and I have found to stay at in Monroe Michigan! This would be our third year coming and this was definitely our favorite place we have stayed yet. It was so clean, and the people who rented it out were so quick to responses and were so quick to questions! The description fits it perfectly and is such a cute little beach bungalow to get away at!

About the host
Hosted by Rachel & Jeff
We are a couple that love the water and boating. We live in the area and we enjoy being hosts to all our guests. We like to provide a peaceful, comfy location where anyone can feel at home.
We were born and raised in the area and enjoy our small little town, yet still have the conveniences of travelling to Detroit and/or Toledo for entertainment.
Why they chose this property
We choose this neighborhood because it's very close to Lake Erie and the quietness. Plus it's very close to local establishments for eating, drinking, fishing, grocery shopping, putt-putt, state parks, and about anything that you'll need.
What makes this property unique
Small beachy feel that is inexpensive yet has a claw foot tub for relaxing and the conveniences of what hotels provide only much more, at a smaller price.
