Provided a full complement of everything we needed, although kindling was in (too) short supply. I do wish the photos showed the ladder to the loft. Fortunately our grandson is 6, so could navigate it ok. If he was younger it would have been difficult to get him upstairs.
A great location close to ski areas and town. Cabin was rustic but cute, clean, and cozy. It was also plenty warm even through a blizzard! Fireplace worked beautifully but you may need to provide your own kindling.

Thank you so much for staying at the Bear Stroll Bungalow. We are glad to hear you had a great stay and enjoyed our cozy cabin. Please come back anytime.
Love the area and the common grounds. Wished there were covered decks for the rainy weather. Units are very small so when it rains, you're stuck inside.

Thanks for staying at the Bear Stroll Bungalow! Sorry the rain caught up with you!
For future reference, the Lodge is open until 5 PM every night. There is ample seating next to the fireplace and a pool table upstairs for all guests to use. Please come back and visit us anytime.
Comfy little cabin. The boys loved the bunk beds in the loft. It was close to a bunch of activities. And the resort had activities provided as well. Check in was a little concerning when we were told check-in is at 4 and the office closes at 5, but there was a system in place for late arrivals so that all worked out fine. It is late fall, so i would guess that explains the cobwebs and dusty conditions when we arrived, but i would stay there again.

Thanks for the feedback, Kevin. We will pass along your comment about the dust to our housekeepers, who clean the house after every guest stay. Please feel free to come back anytime.
Not so good:We had to shovel about a 1/3rd of an inch of snow and ice off the deck to make it safe to walk on when we arrived. A shovel was provided but the deck and steps to the doorway in should have been cleaned for our arrival. The carpet in the first floor bedroom was dirty. I found a dried up contact lense and small chunks of mattress foam around the bed. Easy fix: have the cleaning staff do a better vacuum job.The mattress on the double bed in the loft was like lying on wooden planks…sleeping on a forest floor would be more forgiving.Very good: the cabin was warm and cozy. Clean other than described. Management was very responsive and friendly. The location was perfect for skiing.

Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about your experience. We really appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations.
With frequent, inclement weather in the region, our maintenance staff works hard to ensure each guest’s stairs & deck are cleared prior to an arrival; however, it sounds like this may not have occurred or occurred prior to further snowfall. As snowfall was anticipated during your length of stay, it is always recommended to be ready to travel via 4WD and wear shoes or boots comfortable for navigating the epic (& sometimes frustrating) winter weather in the Valley. We are sorry you had to do some shoveling upon arrival.
The housekeepers are employed through the resort and we have also brought your concerns regarding the cleanliness of the unit to their attention. Had we been advised of these inconveniences at the time of your stay, we could had had these addressed by Black Bear Resort staff to ensure the most comfortable stay in our cabin.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We hope to have the chance to host you again and provide a better experience.
