Beautiful home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house in a quiet area right across from the beach. Was perfect for our small family. Hosts were extremely accommodating and thoughtful.
We loved the house and the proximity to the beach. The house is charming and everything worked well. We also loved heading into Scituate for meals and shopping. My family also loved the house. The stairs are a little challenging for older folks, but people managed.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this house. The house has ocean views and is directly across the street to beach access.

The House Tucked In
This beach house is a perfect spot to launch your day trips to explore the Cape. If you love the ocean, you are only a short walk away from the beach. A wonderful three bed room house where you can relax and recharge. Stores and food stops are a short drive away. We recommend this house tucked back from the road for your next vacation.
Perfect Beach Getaway – Relaxing, Scenic, and Super Convenient!
We had an amazing stay! The property has a great ocean view from the lower level porch, and even better from the upper level porch (both covered!). The beach access couldn’t have been easier—just a short walk and you’re on the sand. It’s also in a fantastic location, just minutes from local shops and restaurants which made exploring and grabbing what we needed super convenient. The home itself was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or a base for beach adventures, I would highly recommend.
The house was clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was beautiful and very peaceful!! The only thing we would recommend is to get new pillows everything else was wonderful!!
We were a party of 4 celebrating a milestone birthday. Scituate is such a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed being able to run up to Boston, down to Cape Cod and just enjoy our private beach. The property manager was the most responsive I have ever dealt with in many VRBO rentals.

Great trip to the South Shore
We had a wonderful stay in Scituate. Jim and his wife were so accommodating and helpful to us with super prompt and polite communication. No issues getting into the house, which was very well furnished and spacious. The beach setting is wonderfully picturesque with very cute restaurants, breweries, and walks a short drive away.
Three family members stayed in the house to enjoy a Thanksgiving reunion with 50 of our family members. Fireplace makes it cozy. Wonderful location to walk and take in the beautiful setting. We suggest new pillows, mirrors in each bedroom and lamps on the bedroom end tables.
Very nice but we dropped you down a star for not warning us ahead of time about the tap water. No one saw the sign on the fridge until after we made a pot of coffee with

Thank you for staying with us and also updating your rating based off our conversation and clarification. To be clear to guests, the water is safe to drink. We had a town letter on the fridge titled, "Important Information about your Drinking Water" which documents the water quality but are taking it down to not cause confusion or false concerns.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this great location. The house was very nice, the private beach within a stone’s throw was perfect for us, and the marsh in back was beautiful. The owners were very responsive and the neighborhood was very quiet and nice. We couldn’t have had a better time. Many thanks to Jessica and Jim! - Theresa, Chuck, and family

Rude and Unhelpful Host
Lovely house in a beautiful location. 2nd bathroom was not fully functional for almost the entire 11 day stay, after the host assured us it would be fixed asap. Then he called me a liar. Finally, the cleaning crew arrived before checkout time and rushed us out. This host is extremely disrespectful to guests. Proceed with caution.

Please be extremely skeptical of this review. Unfortunately, this guest has been an absolute nightmare for the past year and we cannot believe this review is allowed to be posted. This guest stayed for 11 nights, after abusing the cancellation policy and booking for 60 nights across 4 reservations. She then narrowed it down to 11 nights when she ultimately decided the days she wanted to use. During their stay, there was a slight leak in the bathroom sink with an isolated impact to the hot water faucet of one of the bathrooms. When we were notified, we had a plumber at the house in 45 minutes to address the issue. We reached back out to the guest that night and they said the plumber needed to get a part and would return the next day. We spoke to the plumber and he said the same. After that we didn’t hear from the guest until after the stay where she indicated that the plumber never ended up returning. We take responsibility for not confirming with the plumber that the job was complete, but we would have expected for the guest to let us know that he didn’t return as we weren’t physically at the house. The bathroom was fully functional (shower and toilet), but the sink didn’t have hot water (did have cold water). Normally we would have immediately offered a partial refund for the inconvenience, but the cleaners also reported damage at the house and the guests stayed at the house for an extra hour (when there was a new guest checking in and the cleaners had additional houses to clean). All interactions were completely professional. 7 days later the guest emailed demanding a 20% refund and layering false accusations in which we had video/picture proof that they were untrue. We inquired to her that if there were these issues then why didn’t she tell us about them during her stay. Similar to her response about the plumber, she said she “did not want to bother us”. She was never called a liar, but yes our evidence proved many of her accusations were completely false so if that made her feel like a liar then we understand. As we felt that we were being taken advantage of and this guest proved her character, we did not immediately give in to her demands. The guest has since issued a chargeback on the entire reservation despite staying 11 nights (I’m sure having a great time), using the entire house, but not having access to 1 faucet. We fully expect this to be resolved, but we truly hope other hosts never have to interact with this guest again as this does not appear to be her first time doing this.
