We took grandkids 11and 8 to the national park. The house was less than 10 minutes away. The game room was fun. We saw bears in the neighborhood 3 times including one in the back yard. Fun to watch. Take all food out of your car each time you leave the car to deter bears. Great kitchen items for cooking. Wi-fi worked well. Driveway is VERY steep and a bit tight to turn around but doable. The boys asked when we could come back.
Cabin was beautiful! Very clean. We enjoyed playing air hockey with our family and sitting on the upper deck at night. The drive way is a lil scary because it is so steep but everything else was wonderful. We saw several bears. The manager alerted us right away when a bear got into my son’s car. He learned quickly to make sure his car was locked. Ha. No damage. We would definitely recommend and stay there again. The manager was great and communication was prompt.
Nice cabin which is well furnished with all you need for a stay in the mountains. Comfortable beds. Nice hot tub. Limited mountain view when leaves are out. We saw 9 bear in 3 days which was great! Loved the games! Very nice over
We had a wonderful stay. I was amazed how secluded it felt, while being close to so much. The roads are a little scary up in the mountains, but well maintained and marked. Watch out for bears at dusk if you’re out for a walk!
We stayed for 4 nights here. The cabin itself is cute. Location is great, especially if you plan on going to Ober. Our two kids had lots of fun. As adults there were things that we didn't love. If you have a sensetive tooshie bring your own TP. Unless you like wiping with sandpaper. They have washer and dryer but no detergent. A dishwasher but no detergent, etc, you get the point. It was especially off putting that you pay for cleaning fee but on checkout list they ask you wash dishes in the dishwasher (but no soap, so....) Cabin was clean overall, some things were a little icky, like mold growing on tub edges. Roku remote had no batteries, we asked if they had any in the cabin and they just said no. Could have brought over some or offered to, but nope. It's an okay stay for good price.
We loved our time in the chalet! It was so updated and authentic to the area; pine/wooden bed and furniture, bear motifs in all the fixtures and decorations. The chalet was amazingly clean, which made for an excellent stay. After a 13-mile hike, we really enjoyed the nice hot tub! Everything was perfect...it was more than we expected! We will be returning.
Even nicer than the pictures. Really enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was stocked really well, even including kids' dishes. Very clean and comfortable. Kids loved the arcade play space. The driveway is steep and a bit intimidating the first time but we made it up and down fine. Nice glider on the deck to enjoy the view with morning coffee.
I think the property was even better than in the pictures. Our family had a lot of fun with the arcade games and air hockey. There was also foosball, but we did not use it.
The private hot tub was very nice after a day of hiking. We were there for Thanksgiving, so the fireplace was available for use and the house was decorated for the holidays. It was very festive!
The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and appliances. If you are planning on cooking, you will need to bring all spices including salt, pepper, and sugar. We have rented at other properties where those three things are generally standard, but this is a cabin with a bear population around it, so I am guessing that may be why there are not any consumable food items around.
Since this is a cabin in the mountains, it is a winding and steep drive up to the house. This location offers a beautiful view. I would definitely recommend it!
We really enjoyed our stay. It was nice that there was a bookshelf full of things to read and watch. The driveway turn around was a little short and the driveway was steep, but we used our 4-wheel drive to get up and it was ok! Host was very responsive! The view was gorgeous, especially at sunrise. You can see the moon, sunrise and lights of the city below. Very nice!
We had a great time Thanksgiving week. Rebecca had the place decorated for the holidays which was wonderful for the kids. It had all the small things that made our stay easier - kids plastic utensils and plates, fans, hangers. These little details helped to make life easier on the road. Thanks for a great stay!
This very cozy family cabin was a wonderful getaway for our family. All of the furniture was comfy and cozy. It was filled with great decor and was not only stocked well but had backups on alot! We had 2 different bear sightings and several proofs of bears coming by. Nothing dangerous! The manager/owner was very helpful and quick to get back to us when we had questions! We would recommend this cabin to any group and hope to return ourselves.

Why they chose this property
Our family has always enjoyed the times we have spent in the Smoky Mountains and have wanted to have our own place to stay. We have lots of memories with groups, couples, large family gatherings, and with our children when they were small. We love both the excitement of being on the strip in Gatlinburg as well as the intimate cozy setting of a chalet or cabin. We hope that you will find and share this feeling with your family while staying in our home.
