🏠 Inside
Some of the best moments happen in the in-between. Coffee while the house slowly wakes up. A puzzle that stays on the table all weekend. The grown-ups lingering over breakfast. Someone slipping downstairs for a game while someone else curls up with a book.
And eventually, everyone seems to find their way back to the river table.
🛏 Where You'll Sleep
At the end of a very full day, everyone gets somewhere comfortable to land. The separate cottage adds something especially valuable to a group trip: the ability to be part of everything and still close your own front door.

🌲 Outside
This is where the best days unfold without much of a plan. Watch for deer wandering through the trees. Listen for birds you don't hear at home. Explore the property. Look up at a sky that actually gets dark enough to see the stars. Someone finds a quiet spot and loses track of time, laughter carries through the trees, and by evening everyone has stories from a day they somehow spent both together and apart.
✓ Private riverfront
✓ Seasonal pool (May 5–Sept 15 · unheated)

🌳 The Adventure Tower
This is the kind of thing kids spot through the trees and immediately forget about whatever the grown-ups are doing.
Built around multiple trees and spanning several levels, the Adventure Tower was made for climbing, exploring, imagining and the inevitable "watch this!" from somewhere above your head. And don't be surprised when the grown-ups end up on it too.
✓ Multi-story tree fort built around multiple trees
✓ Bridges and lookout decks
✓ Swings
✓ Slide
✓ Climbing tower
✓ Built for the young and young at heart
🌊 The River
Somehow the pace changes when you get down to the water. Shoes come off. Rocks get turned over. Kids start looking for treasures. Someone settles into an Adirondack chair intending to stay for 10 minutes and is still there an hour later.
This is a river meant to be experienced, not simply looked at.
✓ Private river frontage
✓ Room to explore, fish, float and play when conditions allow
✓ Adirondack seating beside the water
✓ Riverside fire pit
A note from Mother Nature: River conditions change with weather and water levels. Most of the time guests can get into the water and enjoy it, but safe access can never be guaranteed on any particular day. Please use good judgment and enjoy the river only when conditions are safe.
The path to the river follows the natural terrain and includes steep, uneven sections without handrails. Guests with mobility limitations may find access challenging. Water shoes are recommended for playing in and around the river.
🅿️ Parking & Access
Arrival should feel like the beginning of the vacation, not another project to manage.
✓ Private driveway with parking for up to 6 vehicles
✓ Easy unloading for groceries, luggage and gear

This rental far and away exceeded our expectations! So much so, I would consider coming back to the area just for the house and accommodations! It was our favorite we’ve ever stayed in and I cannot say enough great things about it. Thank you for a truly memorable vacation!!!
This was an amazing property that was really well equipped. The pool and amenities made for a wonderful family gathering. Really appreciated the hosts active communication and efforts to make a smooth stay.
This house is one of the best we have rented for family vacations. It has something for everyone. The setting is beautiful and the house has everything we needed. We had one minor issue which was quickly and cheerfully resolved. The host was very responsive to text messages. We would consider renting again if traveling to this area.
The home is beautiful, very well maintained, with full access to a pool, hot tub, games/ puzzles and game room. The location is amazing, there is a river running in the back that we were quite happy to explore The house can easily accommodate a larger group with plenty of seating and spaces to gather together and also enough space to find quiet spaces when needed. The house is very well equipped with more than the basic essentials. The house was clean and welcoming. The host was generous with instructions and very responsive to questions. They have gone well beyond the typical host property set up and responsiveness that I have experienced in other rentals.
The place was beautiful, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the host was quick to respond and very helpful. It's a perfect place for a family get-together.
Everything was exactly as pictured. Very clean. Great place for family fun. Awesome host.

Beautiful, peaceful property - close to conveniences
Our staff went here for an offsite and enjoyed the house and everything about it. The house was gorgeous, well laid out, and well stocked with basics and beyond. The weather was great, so we enjoyed time out on the deck and down by the river. It was a great space for a group to spend time together, with plenty of areas to spread out when we wanted some time apart. We loved the remote feeling, while still being close to town for food, fun, and the greenway.

Sibling Reunion
This lovely place met all our expectations and then some. As the person who made the choice and booked it, I was happy to hear everyone saying "Great Pick!" Outside was beautiful, we felt secluded but town was only a few minutes away. Inside was total comfort. We actually spent more time sitting around catching up than we did taking advantage of the many games downstairs. We had one 12 year old in the pool (yikes!) and then the hot tub, perfect. My two little dogs also enjoyed poking around by the river and impressing my siblings with how cute they were. We hope to do it again next year!
This place was not only well equipped the quality was there too. There was something for everyone, we all had a great time and are planning on making it our annual reunion spot
This house was absolutely perfect for us! We met our three adult kids and their families here and there was something for everyone to do, including the toddler! We had a fire out back, played disc-golf, used the hot tub, and enjoyed the deck. My daughter really appreciated the loft with all of the toys- it kept our granddaughter happy! The house was expansive and easily had enough room for all of nine of us plus two dogs. Mt. Airy is a nice town and we had fun checking everything out on Main Street. The host was communicative and helpful. We are looking forward to staying again! Thank you!

Amazing place!
This place has so many levels of things to do! We had a blast and so many little extras were provided. We will definitely be back!
We brought a group of individuals with disabilities from Northern Kentucky to visit the hometown of Andy Griffith and the house was awesome. Everyone had a great time.
Girl's Annual Trip was amazing!! This cabin is absolutely stunning. Plenty of room for a large group and the amenities are SUPERB!! Kitchen is excellently stocked, best I've ever seen! Hope to go with a family group next time!!!
Everything is as advertised! We will definitely be returning for another visit.

About the host
Hosted by Beata Lorinc
Hi — I'm Beata.
I'm married, mom to two boys (born in 2006 and 2009), a Penn State alum, and my family is originally from Poland — yes, I speak Polish. Over the years we've lived in multiple states and even a few different countries, and one thing I've learned is that some of the best memories rarely happen in the big planned moments.
They're usually the little things.
The late-night conversations around a fire. Coffee before everyone else wakes up. Kids laughing somewhere in the background while adults finally exhale for a minute.
Why they chose this property
Riverside was built around something I understand deeply: if you're the person booking the family vacation, reunion, or friend trip, you're usually carrying a lot more than just the reservation.
You're quietly hoping everyone has a good time.
I wanted a place where that could happen a little more naturally. Where grandparents could have slow mornings, kids could disappear into play, teenagers could find their own space, and the person planning everything could stop managing for a while.
What makes this property unique
I personally designed Riverside around shared experiences rather than simply adding amenities.
The Adventure Tower wasn't an afterthought. The river table wasn't picked from a catalog. The separate cottage wasn't just about adding sleeping space.
I wanted built-in reasons for people to gather, play, slow down, and reconnect.
You'll also receive a digital guest guide after booking with local recommendations, house details, and everything you'll need for an easy arrival. Small things are automated for speed, but anything important still comes directly from me.
