The Best of Maine: Waterfront home/private beach on Penobscot!

Our 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home is located directly on the Penobscot River, with sight-lines to the bay. It has ~200' of private beach and numerous walking trails adjacent to the property. Close to Belfast, Bucksport, Ellsworth, Bangor, and Acadia. All basic necessities (dishes, pots, pans, linens, towels, etc..) provided including free Spectrum high speed internet. Come watch the birds, marine life and boats.

What a great place

This has been one of our favorite places to stay on vacation. The view is incredible, lots of outdoor activities to do in the area. The sunrises are awesome, and the river gave us plenty to do when we were not out exploring.

Family get away

We attended friends’ wedding & extended our stay to enjoy hiking in the gorgeous outdoors. The cottage is beautiful, immaculate & in a peaceful setting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Thanksgiving Experience

We just had a wonderful time getting away for the Thanksgiving holiday! We all had an awesome time and even got some snow! The only suggestion I would have to make since we did cook Thanksgiving sides of dinner at the house. A hand mixer or immersion mixer would have been helpful. I took advantage of my sons’ muscles! We will definitely be back!!

Restful Home with Lovely Views

The house was very clean and tidy, and stocked well for cooking. The view was gorgeous and could be seen from almost anywhere in the house. We loved having an outdoor firepit and a fireplace inside, which made things very cozy on cooler nights. We were quite disappointed that the stairs down to the beach had been washed out at some point and not replaced, as direct beach access was the main reason we had rented the house. However, there was free public beach access a minute's drive from the house, which was convenient.

Beach access and dog friendly

A short walk down the beach will take you to a nice beach that allows dogs and our lab had a great time! The beach water was warm too. Kitchen was very well kept. Bathroom and living area were neat. The shower water pressure and heater tank worked great so didn’t feel the pain of sharing one full bath amongst our group our 5 adults and 3 kids. One half bath upstairs was helpful. Patio deck, furniture and grill were pristine clean. Opening the windows kept the house cool so didn’t really need AC in July. And the property manager Maria was excellent at communication and provided clear instructions.
