This home is beautiful, and in a wonderful location. The pictures looked like the beach was more beach rather than rocky, but overall it was very amazing. We got to see a pod of dolphins swim by a couple times one day. It was a pleasure being able to use for the week

Great time

Great home with all needed comforts. Beach is right behind it when is low tide, otherwise beach access is only a block away. Home is clean, modern and comfortable with amazing sunrises.

We have stayed at this same property several times in the past ten years. Our entire family loves it! The sunrise and bay views with water access steps from the house (great for kayaking and paddle boarding), the pool and then gulf waves and sunset just a few minutes away. We like the slower pace of the northern island location. Many wonderful memories are made and remembered each time. The down side is that the beds are not great. Their ok for younger children but only a roll up foam boxed “mattress” is not adequate for a good nights sleep for adults who’ve been on the water all day and are exhausted. Six of the eight of have neck and pain back from the beds. Disappointing for sure. Otherwise, an absolutely great home with what we think is the best locale on the island.

Wonderful Get Away

I visited with 9 other friends. The place was excellent but the sleeping arrangements were snug for 10. The couch was a great option for sleeping which helped. Beautiful view of the bay! Lots of light and on a very quiet street. We walked the beach from the back porch. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet weekend away.

Beautiful views!

This property is wonderful. I love the fact that the sliding doors open all the way up so that the outside and beautiful views are part of the living space. We enjoy having the bedrooms and the living space are all on the same floor and we can walk directly outside without having any steps to climb up or down. Having only two bathrooms, made it a little more of a challenge, but it was worth it.

The location was fantastic—close to dolphins, manatees, and beautiful blue herons. We really enjoyed the pool, and even had a curious baby raccoon visit us a few times, which made for some fun memories.However, we did experience a few issues during our stay. The air conditioning went out for three days, and while the host did respond by providing two portable AC units and box fans, they weren’t enough to cool the house adequately—our bedroom remained around 89 degrees, which made sleeping difficult. We had hoped the issue would have been resolved more quickly.The mattress in the main bedroom was also very worn and deeply imprinted, making it uncomfortable and quite warm throughout the night.Lastly, one of the highlights we were excited about—the close proximity to the Rod and Reel Pier—was unfortunately misleading. The pier had been destroyed in the last hurricane and was no longer there when we arrived.Overall, the location has a lot of potential, but a few updates and clearer communication would greatly improve the experience.

Roofing Project During Stay - Do not recommend

While our vacation started out enjoyable at this property, the property underwent a complete roofing replacement during our stay, resulting in the property being unusable for 48 hours. The owner was non-responsive (according to the property management company) and the property management company was lacking details to assist in an agreeable solution for us. I would not stay here again, or with this Property Management company again.

Nice place but description needs updated.

We enjoyed the property and the communication was very good. There was a problem with the A/C but they had someone out quickly. Overall it was a good experience. We were disappointed that the listing was not accurate. I let them know about it while we were there, but it still has not been updated like they said they would do. The third bedroom shows "two twins" but there is actually one queen bed in there. The fourth bedroom shows a "twin bunk and full bed" but there are actually 2 sets of bunk beds in there. We rented based on the configuration shown but were able to manage sleeping arrangements once we got there. It wasn't ideal but it didn't ruin our trip. It would be nice if they would correct the listing though.

Dolphins and sunshine galore!

What a perfect spot! We traveled with our family of five including a 4 year old and two teenagers. Having the bay literally steps out the back door was a delight. Dolphins swam and played right in front of us every day and even though there wasn’t any real “beach” the patio/deck area with lounge chairs and hammock were perfect. The pool was fantastic as well we often spent the morning in the pool and the afternoon in the bay. We took a 4-hr boat trip to Egmont Key through Bradenton Mari a which was fantastic. Enjoyed ice cream at Two Scoops and a delicious Lunch at The Porch. We also got a steamer pot from Topsail one night which was a fun and delicious dinner! Being there for the 4th of July was perfect. We just sat on the back patio and could see fireworks across the bay all around. Management was very responsive to any question we had although being there 8 nights I did not recall seeing the pool being serviced during our stay and the information in the home said that would happen twice per week. I also spent some time sweeping off the patio area upon our arrival to make for a cleaner outdoor area (just leaves and pine needles that blow down throughout the day). Everything worked well, the home is nicely and comfortably decorated. The kitchen is well stocked so cooking at the home was easy - sharper chef’s knives would’ve been nice 😊 Perfect vacation spot!

Absolutely Beautiful

We booked this property with family for our stay while we got married in AMI! It was the perfect location to amenities such as the store, restaurants, ice cream, etc. And of course, the beach!!! How could you not love this place? This was also a perfect location for our multiple families staying here. One story was great for grandma, no stairs was great for the babies/kids, and all the adults loved the ease of having the ocean and the pool right there! We loved it so much- we plan (post coronavirus) to make it a yearly family vacation! There was space for plenty of parking (we used golfcarts to get around), having the ability to grill was awesome- and the laundry on site was a lifesaver! My biggest complaint was the management company and the unwillingness to rebook/cancel due to spiking Coronavirus cases in Florida. There was also confusion on the second installment of our final bill- which they did investigate for me and told me to contact VRBO about the discrepancy. I partially understand their unwillingness to change reservations- I can’t imagine how much the travel industry is suffering right now. But it all worked out fine, we had a fantastic time and we all made it back home safely without exposure.

Beautiful views, great pool, but…

My family had a wonderful stay at the Breakaway property in March. The location can’t be beat, with views that take your breath away. We absolutely loved being beachfront, as well as enjoyed the lovely pool area. That said, I feel like it’s important to call attention to a few things. While the home is beautiful, it could use a little extra love in the form of new paint and extra attention to some of the things that attracted my family to this home. My family had to call maintenance several times throughout our stay. This wasn’t ideal, but maintenance always responded quickly so we chose to look past the inconvenience and still have a wonderful time. For reference, the pool wasn’t heating the first day or two, so someone had to come out to fix that. The gas grill didn’t work, so someone had to come out and deliver a new one. The TV didn’t work, so someone had to come out and fix that (somehow the wrong remotes had ended up in the house from a different property…) The dishwasher also leaked onto the floor a bit, though we chose not to report this to maintenance because we were tired of having to call and have someone come to the house every day. In the end, the hiccups we encountered with the house were minor enough and the response swift enough to not detract from our overall stay. However, the things that we had issues with are important items to have in a vacay rental and things that drew us to the house in the first place (heated pool, grill), so it was disappointing they weren’t in tip-top shape and that we had to put effort into getting those amenities working. We’d definitely return to Anna Maria Island, but the jury is still out on whether we’d rent this same property in the future.

We decided to splurge on this property and pay more than we typically do for a rental, so we arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.Before booking, we were told there would be beach chairs available at the property, but there were none. We were also informed that the home had a heated pool and that we could use a remote to control the heater. The company told me to search for the remote located by the pool. I spent a significant amount of time searching for this remote, only to receive a call later that evening saying there was no remote and that the heater was controlled elsewhere. Despite this, the pool temperature never rose above 69 degrees, which is not what most would consider a heated pool. I read the property manual inside and out only to find much of the instructions did not pertain to this property. In addition, the showers were difficult to operate and required a call to maintenance, and the master bathroom toilet was not functioning upon arrival, which also required service.The view from the property is truly breathtaking, and that was a highlight of our stay. However, the issues with the pool, plumbing, and inconsistent communication made the experience feel far from luxurious. We paid a premium expecting a higher level of quality and service, and unfortunately felt we received a mediocre experience with little more than an apology from the management company.

Perfect location

Great house directly on water. Very roomy, nice pool, on the bay in walking distance to Rod and Reel. Easy access and close to Bean Point. Would differently stay here again.
