My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 10-day stay at this property! Gentle Winds is a beautiful condo community with much to offer residents and guests, including a lovely beach (and pool) experience, tennis courts, and much more. K5 is a very nice unit with comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen. The owner was easy to contact. Being in the center of the island made it easy to go (in our rental car) in either direction to visit various attractions.

Tropical oasis

This was our fifth time staying at Gentle Winds but our first at this property. Overall, I think this was the cleanest one we’ve had (not that the others were unclean). Very comfortable and homey. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful location

This is our second stay at the property. The condo was nice and clean. The only thing our condo was missing were beach chairs for when we explored other beaches. We love the beach bar on the property. It was open each day from 12-5 so it was super convenient for lazy days at the pool, no need to pack a lunch.

Great condo at beautiful Salt River!

This is a wonderful condo that is well-equipped and air-conditioned throughout. While we did not use the bedroom with the twin beds, the bedroom with the king size bed was incredibly comfortable! Having 2 full bedrooms was also a huge plus! This property had one of the most beautiful beaches on the North Shore, and a great pool and poolside bar. At Salt River, you are only about 20 minutes from Christiansted and 30 minutes from Frederiksted. As scuba divers, the location was truly perfect since our favorite dive outfit (Cane Bay Dive Shop) leaves from the Salt River Marina, which is only about a 2 minute drive from the condo. We had a wonderful week in St Croix at this condo, and will definitely be back! 😃

Tranquility, Relaxation and Value

My (senior) parents and I spent a glorious week enjoying Gentle Breeze and surrounds. The apartment was uncluttered and everything worked as it should. In addition to the more notable snorkeling/diving sites around the island, the wonderful estuary at Salt River offered much to see and drew many trips. We enjoyed movies at night (the TV was easy to operate and we cast our own streaming services), visits to the snack shack for a hot dog and martini (woo hoo). There was a brief community -wide brownout, but Marjorie was on top of it and sent me a note immediately.The location was not ritzy, but we enjoyed that it didn't have that "corporate" feel. The resort is easily walkable and worked well for elderly folks.The beds were quite comfortable and we all slept very well. I think the value-for-money is high and we'd go back. We miss the wonderful atmosphere, hummingbirds and waves already.

Wonderful spot!

We were here for a week over Thanksgiving for a family diving/snorkeling trip. This was our 1st time to St Croix and this community came highly recommended. I’m glad we took the advice. The location and the property is wonderful. The snorkeling right in this beach is terrific! We saw a squid and flounder inside the swimming area, and tons of little reef fish. The grounds are terrific, beach is perfect and the bar was convenient & reasonable. This unit was perfect for our family of 4 and it was SO clean. Also fully stocked. My only complaint about the unit is that there was no outdoor hose to rinse gear off after being in the saltwater. But we managed anyway, and I’d 100% stay there again. One thing: On the day of check-in, I had still not received check-in instructions or a code for the door key. I had to repeatedly call the host/realtor for this info (no answer) after arriving at the airport and again while standing at the unit door. While frustrating, she did eventually call with the code and luckily I didn’t need further assistance.

Perfect Property and Fabulous Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo! The location was fabulous with easy access to both Fredericksted and Christiansted and exploring the island…although it’s hard to drag yourself away from the perfect beach and property right where you are! The beach and pool are lovely, we never had a problem finding available chairs and umbrellas and the Beach Shack served delicious food and drinks. We enjoyed walking the shore and playing the games provided at the Clubhouse. My son and daughter particularly enjoyed exploring a small tide pool they found toward the West side of the beach. While the ocean swimming area is not very large with a reef not too far off the shore, we still found it to be sufficiently swimmable and enjoyed snorkeling to discover coral, fish, crabs and some good sea glass finds. The condo itself is extremely pleasant and clean with comfortable beds, clean, newly renovated bathrooms, a comfortable living room and well-appointed kitchen. There is also a convenient washer and dryer in the unit. The view is gorgeous, especially at sunset, including both the mountains and the ocean. It is quiet and private even with occupants in all of the condos in the building. We would more than happily stay here again!
