Great location and awesome outdoor/pool area. Steps were steep but expected at a beach house. Kids loved the ping pong table in the garage! Owners were attentive to our questions.

The place was great but honestly pretty disappointed with the stay. What I wrote below is what we told the host but didn’t get a response so now it’s the review we have to give: The biggest issue was that the hot tub drained the first day we were there and that was a big reason we booked this spot. (The host did respond saying they will send someone out but nobody ever came.) Then the smaller things like: - batteries in the tv remote were dead - no dish soap - no dish scrub brush- the dishwasher malfunctioned and even when it didn’t they weren’t fully clean because we couldn’t scrub them - only one shower towel per bedroom meant to sleep more than one person - even if someone got a towel it was itchy and tiny - no toiletry items. That’s never happened at any place we’ve ever stayed - the freezer door doesn’t open all the way We stay in surf city all the time and though this was a great spot and location those details change the stay completely especially at the price we paid. Won’t be booking again sadly.

Thank you for your feedback. We take our guest experience seriously and always prioritize immediate communication to resolve concerns. Regarding the hot tub, we dispatched a professional the moment you reached out. They determined a specific part was required; unfortunately, despite our best efforts and factors beyond our control, the logistics of that part delivery meant that the repair could not be completed within your short 3-day window. Regarding the amenities, we ensure a stocked dish soap dispenser and professional prepared linens and towels for 12 guests as a verified standard for every stay. As a self-catering vacation rental, we provide initial essentials but do not provide personal toiletries or disposable scrubs, as noted in our listing. Both myself and our local property caretaker reached out to ensure you were comfortable, but we were not made aware of any questions regarding supplies until after your departure. While we respect your preference not to communicate during your stay, we find that real-time communication is the best way to ensure a 5-star experience. We verified that all appliances and supplies were in full working order for the next arrival.
