Overall, we enjoyed our trip. The location of the condo couldn't be beat. However, I did not feel the condo was updated at all as stated in the description. The decor was quite outdated.

I’ve stayed in multiple units in the village at Mammoth in the past and this is one of the nicer ones. It’s very large has a nice view off the balcony and was well appointed inside. We would love to go back to this unit in the future. I had a slight issue finding the unit when we arrived, but Nomadness was very quick to respond and the response was extremely helpful.

The location of this unit is wonderful, however, the cleanliness is not! The unit has long dog hair all over the floors, especially underneath the sofas. Let me elaborate in detail regarding my experience. I contacted Nomadness (host) and spoke to a gal named Lauren regarding the most recent review on this place. I asked her to please make sure the unit is clean prior to us checking in. I also asked her if we can check in earlier than 5pm which is their check-in time. Please be mindful when booking that typically check-in times are around 3 or 4pm on most reservations but that’s not the case with this unit. Lauren said they charge per hour if you check-in prior to 2pm. However, she was supposed to contact me if the unit is clean and available for early check-in. I never heard back from her even though the unit was available. Upon entering the unit, we immediately noticed an awful smell such that of something that had burned. There was dog hair all over the living room and no clean sheets for the pull out sofa. On the third day, my son goes to the restroom and notices a rat run across him and go under the guest bathroom sink….. DISGUSTING! I contacted Nomadness and they really didn’t seem like they cared! This is the worst ever experience I had renting anything in Mammoth. Btw, their check out is extra early at 10am. If you care about a good host, cleanliness, or comfort, this unit handled by Nomadness is an absolute nightmare! Lauren is a pethetic!

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to address guest concerns, but your calls prior to arrival led us to believe you were set on being dissatisfied. Lauren answered your questions accurately, yet the responses were misconstrued.
Our check-in (5pm for holidays like Labor Day weekend (your arrival date)) and checkout times are clearly listed. You requested early check-in, but the unit wasn’t ready before 5pm, and we apologize for any misrepresentation that made you believe otherwise.
We take cleanliness and pest concerns seriously. Pull-out sofa sheets are provided in a bag, which may have caused confusion regarding cleanliness. This isn’t a pet-friendly unit, and our housekeeping team didn’t note pet hair or odors during inspections.
We regret we couldn’t meet your expectations despite our efforts. Your feedback helps us improve. Thanks for the opportunity to share our experience, as well!

Budget Friendly Option in Village
A group of 4 of us stayed in this unit for the Mammoth Margarita Festival. We picked this one based on the description of it overlooking the Main Courtyard and one of the photos showing an arrow pointing to the corner unit. Upon checkin, we discovered that we were actually the unit to the right, which has trees impeding your view of the stage in the Main Courtyard, which was a huge disappointment. We received the wrong checkin instructions and had to call twice to pickup our key and then get a separate code to get into the unit. Upon entering the unit it was very warm and we looked to see where we could turn the air conditioning on, as it was noted as an included amenity. To our surprise, there was only one small window unit to cool the living room, dining room and kitchen, and one another unit to cool the primary bedroom. The second bedroom only had a floor fan, which did not actually cool the room. The unit is also described as having been upgraded, but the majority of the furnishes seem very old. Lastly, there is a stairwell that leads out to the village shops/restaurants, which is convenient, but there is no access to come back up that way once you are out. So you must walk to the complete other side of the complex to take the elevator up and then walk all the way back to the other end of the complex to get into your room. Overall the price is great for what you get and management was easy to work with, but would just say to temper your expectations upon arriving.

We understand that the air conditioning was not sufficient for your comfort. Air conditioning is a rare amenity in our town and the units with air conditioning unlikely have centralized systems. Thankfully, our summer temperatures remain comfortable, for the most part, to not require the use of an A/C system.
