The accomodations were excellent, clean and tidy. Everything we needed was available to us for the weekend. The owner responded quite readily to all our questions. We definitely recommend this place for any family that would love a weekend stay in Salem!

It was a great space for 6 people. There were some spiders in corner of bedroom and laundry room. The toilet seat needs to be fixed and aligned with toilet. Otherwise, very comfortable and good walking distance from everywhere in town

The host was amazing! They answered all our questions, usually getting back to us within minutes. Check in was super easy, the place was very clean. It smelled good. Some people in previous reviews complained about the noise level from upstairs neighbors, we did not find that to be an issue. They were no loader than what is to be expected from staying on the main floor. They had an amazing garden with the cutest chickens! It was so enjoyable watching them peck about. Check-out was easy too!

Beds were comfortable, as was the common area. The entry area didn’t have any sound buffer so when the other tenants in the building came and went it sounded like they were at our door. Location was convenient.

It was very clean and looked like the pictures. It had a walk in shower. Our host provided us with coffee and creamer. Very roomy and the beds were comfortable. Not enough toilet paper and wash cloths. The remote on the TV didn't work. Called the owner. He came promptly but couldn't fix the remote. He will order a new one. Convenient location. Chickens in the back yard. Good off street parking. Toilet seat was wobbly . On first floor. All on one level.

If you’re looking for something that is close to downtown Salem, then this location is great and only about a 10/15 minute walk from the center. However, the cleanliness of the rental was very lacking. The shower had debris all over it and the floors hadn’t been vacuumed or washed. The toilet seat is loose and would move anytime anyone would sit on it. There is no shower gel that is provided nor an iron or ironing board like in the description. I agree with other reviewers that the upstairs neighbors are extremely loud and sounded like they were hammering something all day long to the point it woke us up several times. Overall, a quick vacuum and tighten of the toilet seat would easily bring this rental from a 5 to at least an 8.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the property was dirty, and there were no towels available. We contacted the host, who was on his way to bring towels, when we noticed a strong smell of gas and discovered that a gas stove burner had been left on without a flame.When the host arrived, we repeatedly asked him to contact 911 or the gas company. He did not appear particularly concerned, and only contacted the gas company after our repeated requests.Concerned for our safety, we left approximately 30 minutes after arriving and paid for a hotel. The host never informed us that the gas company had cleared the property that evening. We only learned this later, after requesting a refund. Had we been notified promptly, we might have considered returning.The host verbally assured us we would receive a refund, but later refused, calling our departure a "last-minute cancellation." We had checked in and left because of the conditions we encountered, not because our plans changed.The gas company reportedly found no ongoing leak, but our concern was the unlit burner releasing gas when we arrived. Between the property's condition, the safety concern, and the lack of communication, this was an extremely disappointing experience.

The house had plenty of space and was very clean. The owners were wonderful and responded to messages very quickly. Very easy check in. This property is in a beautiful Salem neighborhood and very close walking distance to downtown Salem. It was perfect !

Salem Stay

It was overall a good stay. The house is close to main shopping areas. We did however run out of bleach and there was no dishwasher detergent so we washed most of the dishes by hand. The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable!

Great Choice

We were very have with the property. It was so close to everything in Salem. We were able to park our car and walk everywhere! Also close to the train to head to Boston too. After having fun all day the place was large and comfortable to unwind! We would stay here again for sure :)

Loved it All

Everything was exactly as pictured! I loved the fact that in the middle of the city, they have utilized their property to make it country like with a garden and chickens. It made me feel home as I live in the country.Really will stay again !

Salem Halloween Trip

We stayed here while visiting Salem during the Halloween season. This property was within walking distance of all activities. Very nice, but off the main route.
