In addition to bookings in the high summer season, this is a perfect property for hunters, fishermen and wine lovers in the late spring and early fall seasons, as well! Known as one of the best fishing spots in the region, Waneta Lake is conveniently located between Keuka and Seneca Lakes.

Enjoy this lovely lake front home and take in the beauty of the region including dozens of area wineries, Watkins Glen State Park and Gorge, Watkins Glen racetrack, Corning Museum of Glass and The Windmill Farmers and Craft Market.

Beautiful little Lake House

The house was so cozy for our family of 5. Everything was exactly like the pictures and we had a great 3 day weekend.The lake provided some good fishing and we were just a short drive away from Watkins Glen for the race.I highly recommend this house to anyone seeking a relaxing stay.

What a great week! The property, located on a very quiet road, was a beautiful as the pictures. There are so many places to sit and enjoy the lake with your group or grab some quiet alone time. The kitchen is very well equipped but we used the grill practically every night along with the gas fire pit table. Sharon was a wonderful host.

Built by our grandparents when our Mom and her twin sister were just in their teens, this home is filled with a lifetime of special memories. Lifelong family bonds, over 5 generations, have been forged with our siblings, cousins, aunts/uncles, grandparents, extended family and friends during those endless days of summer magic.
Many of us continue to travel from far and wide to come back to the lake each year, providing our families with the opportunity to create ongoing priceless memories.

Why they chose this property

Our Waneta lake house has been the site of many fun-filled family gatherings and offers an escape from the every day hectic pace of daily life. The house has been expanded and updated over the past several years to provide a space where you can truly sit back and relax. The lake has a shallow, gradual slope so the kids can splash around without any hidden drop-offs. Fishermen will love fishing off the 42 foot dock! Enjoy evenings sitting by a lakeside bonfire, watching the sky explode with more stars than you could ever see back home. Most of our renters come back year after year as this is a place that is great for friends vacationing together, families celebrations or for couples looking to relax and unwind.

What makes this property unique

The house has a large, newly renovated kitchen and great room on the lower level making family gatherings, lakeside grilling and entertaining is a snap. The kitchen hosts a large wrap around counter with barstool seating, dishwasher and new appliances.

Large patio doors allows great lake views and access to the upper balcony and anewly renovated outdoor livng space - complete with a large grill station, dining fire-table, pergola, chair swings and lounge chairs.

A separate level hosts 8 Adirondack chairs surrounding a firepit and access to a large L-shaped 46' dock. A bench seat at the end of the dock is great for fishing or just sitting and enjoying the lake.

Multiple tie downs and bumpers line the dock, should you want to bring a personal boat.

When its time to unwind from the days' adventures in recently upgraded mattresses with fresh, crisp linens to provide a great nights' sleep.

Mini-split AC / heating units and ceiling fans are located on each level to provide comfort throughout your stay.
