We had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend at this location. It is a beautiful property with lots of room for the kids to run, the adults to play the annual Thanksgiving football game and for us to use the provided firewood on the great fire pit area. Hope to visit again
This quiet property was just the vacation away we needed. The large living room provided plenty of space or our big family. The 3 full size sofas around the big screen TV was perfect for cheering Tigers football on Saturday night. I enjoyed every morning rocking on the front porch watching my 5 granddaughters play and enjoying the mountain breezes, birdsong and train whistles. The back deck had plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy the evenings together and watch the stars.
Communication from host was great and they allowed early check in which was very gracious! The property was clean and very cozy. Loved our stay. Would definitely book again
Very much enjoyed our stay!!!! House is clean and comfortable. Set up very nicely for a large family (there were 13 of us). Beautiful area!!! Highly recommend!
We were only in town one day for a wedding but the property was perfect. Very clean inside and peaceful outside. Would definitely recommend the stay, especially if you have the extra time to enjoy the fire pit and the grill. Host was extremely responsive and helpful.
It was such a nice property. The home was well equipped and furnished with everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of room for our party of 8. The Mountain View from the deck was beautiful!! Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
The house was very comfortable. It was 9 degrees one night and we were never cold! Lots of extra touches for a worry free, enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the fire pit and watching the herd of deer in the backyard. Would definitely book again!
While we had just a short stay, we took advantage of the many sites to see...the waterfalls, park, and enjoyed dinner at Wildflowers! The house was very well accommodated and we even had some nice conversations with the father-in-law. We will enjoy staying there again, should we have the opportunity.
We really enjoyed our stay at Alices Acres! We loved that it was quite and secluded. It was perfect for our family of 10 and had everything we needed. It was like home away from home. We will definitely be returning

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. We would love to host you and your family again!
The property was perfect!! Super nice & very clean. Tonya was very responsive & made sure we had everything we needed plus. It was my daughter’s 18th birthday & Tonya even left her a little surprise. Thank you so much for sharing your property with us!!
The house was comfortable and decorated invitingly. It served as a perfect place to visit Mentone, Desoto Falls, Little River Canyon, and Chattanooga. We were only there a couple of evenings. But it had plenty of yard space and a lovely deck to enjoy the outdoors.
Lovely mountain backdrop. It’s kind of in the country. But it’s easy to find. Just be prepared to drive slowly on a short gravel road with significant potholes. The host responds quickly to any communication. Overall a great value for the listing price.
This is an older home, cute and inviting with little extras placed out for guests like a craft drawer, snacks, and even toothbrushes if you forgot yours. The property is large with plenty of space to catch a ball or enjoy a fire. The bottom of the description states that the father in law lives in the home, in his own area. Make sure you know that. I neglected to read that small bit and was quite surprised that someone was there on our arrival. The door locks to the house from the inside, but the front door is only a keypad, so we didn't feel great about this, but it was my fault. It's worth noting that we had no issues that arose from this while we were there. So, the reason for 3 stars is really because of the beds. They're in desperate need of upgrading. They are very old, extremely loud and squeaky, waking us with every tiny movement and so uncomfortable. Plus, when we stripped the beds for cleaning (which was a requirement on leaving), the mattress protectors were filthy and torn up. It was gross. Everything else was just fine.

The home was completely renovated 2 1/2 years ago. It’s standard for short term rental homes to use a key pad for entry. Just as safe as a key. We did not hide the fact that our father lives in the connecting apartment. We have never had an issue with him living there. You are the one and only person who has ever complained of the beds. We checked the mattress covers after you checked out and they were not as you described. Guess you enjoy making negative reviews.
Highly recommend Alice's Acres!
My friend and I were supposed to be camping with our spouses in our RVs at De Soto State Park. We had a large group of friends also camping with us. Unfortunately, our husbands and and RVs couldn't make it, so we made the best of it by renting this VRBO.
It exceeded our expectations. Very cute on the outside with a large yard, firepit with seating area, a new deck out back, and nicely renovated on the inside.
The attention to detail did not go unnoticed! Well stocked toiletries and amenities like paper towels, pods for the dishwasher, and dish soap.
Being able to bring our pups was essential to our stay. Without that we would not have been able to come. Thank you for accommodating our 4-legged kids!!!
The only thing that would have made it better for us due to our situation, was if they were a little closer to the park and the dirt road had a few less potholes. LOL! Nothing that would stop us from recommending this place or rebooking if we had it to do all over again.
Thanks for a great stay!
