Spacious Island Condo: Dogs welcome, Minutes to South Forest Beach

Be our guest at BeachMore, our Family-Friendly (and Fido-Friendly) Townhouse, and enjoy the newly remodeled look (complete as of 2-1-24)

This dog and family-friendly unit is perfect for up to 4 people (which is the limit for the lease, per our condo association), and has lots of extra space for overnight guests or friends! Can sleep up to 6 in beds and a pack-and-play even fits in the guest room closet!

-1 upstairs with very firm King bed, 32 inch flat screen with cable

-1 downstairs with 1 Double-bed and 1 Twin bed

*loft with twin bed

*There is also an on-site pack-n-play that sets up perfectly in the large closet of the downstairs bedroom (we always left the door open for ventilation when ours were young).

Rental includes all freshly-laundered linens for stays of 30 days or fewer. Linen rental may be added to month+ rentals for only $25/month. Linens include all adult beds, baths, hand and kitchen towels, washcloths, and potholders; does not include beach towels. We do not provide linens for the pack-n-play. Kitchen is also stocked with an air fryer, 2 blenders, Cuisinart Food Processor, Vitamix Blender, tea kettle and standard coffee maker.

2 ½ baths.

1480 sq. ft. with vaulted double-high ceiling, open plan, loft area with twin bed, 75-inch flat screen TV (in Living Room) with FREE Netflix, HDMI cord for gaming/movies and Googlecast, High Speed wireless internet (300/30Mbps), infrared grill, dining area, washer & dryer, and 35 inch TV with cable in Master Bedroom.

There are 3 pools that are open April 1st to October 1st (the closest pool is 50 yards away and has it's own Wifi), a tennis court, and lots of walking areas! It's just beautiful and relaxing! This villa has been equipped like it is our home, as it is part of the time! We are constantly working and keeping it updated, clean, and nice for our renters! It's a 15-minute walk to Coligny shopping area or a three-minute car ride. The complex is very quiet and safe. The island is very bike-friendly with paths everywhere and reasonable rental by the day or week.

Weeks book Saturday to Saturday (strict in summer months, lenient all other months). Check-in time is 4pm the Saturday beginning your stay, check out before 10am the Saturday ending your stay (may be able to accommodate other check in/out times). Add 11% for all taxes. Security deposit of $500 (or $750 if bringing a dog, which will be returned, less expenses for any damages--in all our years of renting we've only had 2 occasions that we used part of the security deposit to cover damages). No cats please. OR you can choose the non-refundable insurance instead of the refundable security deposit. Maximum # of dogs is 2 and more than 2 will result in a fine from the Condo Association.

Restrictions: NO SMOKING in condo. Our condo can sleep up to 6 in beds. The condo association prefers no more than 4 adults in each unit, but there are no prohibitions against overnight guests, so if you’d like to have others visit during your trip, you will have a bed for them.

Want to bring your dog? No problem. Add $94/week and enjoy how dog-friendly Hilton Head Island is. No cats, please.

Also included in your rental: dishes, flatware, cookware, kitchen utensils, iron, ironing board, bed and bath linens. We provide bedding for all beds in the condo.

All tenants over 90 days are exempt from 11% tax per SC law.

Nice vacation stay

We enjoyed our summer vacation trip and stay at the house. As described, it had what we needed for the week. The best thing about the place was it a location (10 min walk from the beach) to everything (walk to restaurants). Plenty of parking and 2 pools on the premises to use. Appreciated that we could bring the dog.

We enjoyed the pool, took a couple of strolls to the beach, and drive on day trips to Savannah and Charleston. All the restaurants we chose were good, and grocery store was close. We enjoyed the back deck in mornings and evenings. Beds are FIRM.

Our host was very welcoming and provided significant information about the condo prior to our arrival. Some of the information was for those who stay during the summer season, however, and was not information that was relevant to us, but it had not been removed from the set of instructions, causing unnecessary chores on our part that were ultimately not needed. Additionally, when we arrived, it was apparent that the condo had not been cleaned recently as there was dust throughout, the floors were not clean nor vacuumed, the kitchen counters still had crumbs, and there was a half-empty bottle of wine still sitting on the kitchen counter. The condo smelled stuffy and like wet dog when we arrived, so we knew it hadn't been cleaned within the last few days. We had to make one of the bed ourselves when we arrived. We also had to deal with a leaky fridge and I was on the phone and texting with the host several times. The host heard our concerns, but there was no action taken on their part about the lack of cleanliness while we were there for a long weekend. The condo was in a good location for our needs and the weather was unseasonably warm, so it was good from that standpoint.

We booked this condo close to Christmas. The booking process and directions from owner we easy and clear. The condo was clean and simple, which is exactly what we were looking for, as well as allowing pets. It was a very easy walk to the beach. Great condo do our quick last minute trip!

Great spot for a family or 2 couples

We were very happy with our stay overall. The host was very responsive to our questions and observations. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and all the documentation was very descriptive. Treetops is a great little area for walks with your pets and a short 10 min walk from the beach. Thanks again!

Great location and spacious condo

The condo was much bigger than anticipated leaving lots of room for us and our dogs to relax and play. The included kennel was helpful so that we could put the pups away while we were out. The proximity to the on-site pool was very convenient along with the bike path and short walk to the beach! The instructions and tips provided prior to arrival were very detailed and super helpful in getting acclimated and finding the way to the beach! We had an amazing time in HHI and we will be back!

It is comfortable as described. Great spot for a couple and their furry friend.

Nobody can control the weather so we had to be in the place a little more than we planned. Nonetheless we were comfortable and had a great month. The owners were responsive and helpful throughout the month. The only suggestions I would make are to add a few chairs etc. so you could have more than two people for dinner. Close and easy to get to the beach which was important to us A good time!

Glad you enjoyed yourself, and so sorry about the "polar vortex" weather! Thanks for your suggestion about the chairs. Funny we never thought about additional chairs because we always put the kids at the bar to eat and the adults at the table! I think we'll need to get a bigger table as well, since I'm not sure 6 or 8 chairs would fit around the table that we have there now. [Update 6/1/14: bought a larger table with a leaf and now have 11 chairs plus the four at the bar]

HHI 2023

Condo was in a great location. We totally appreciated being able to have our daughters therapy dog with us. Condo is homey and comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and silverware. 2 1/2 baths was very nice. In the description it said dryer would only dry on the delicate cycle but that must have gotten fixed as we had no trouble with the dryer. Our host answered our 1 and only call immediately. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Loved this dog friendly condo and its location for our ten week stay

We stayed in this condo from mid-February to mid-April this year to escape the cold Canadian winter. Even though the weather was cooler than usual in Hilton Head this year, it was much better than at home and were out and about enjoying the nice weather. We loved the location as it was within walking distance to the town center, beach, grocery stores, a drug store and restaurants (we walked everyday). Absolutely bring your bicycle or rent one..... riding on the hard flat beach was such great fun! The layout of the condo is excellent with the two stories. We stayed upstairs and our daughter, son-in-law and grandson stayed downstairs. It is definitely a dog friendly area and our daughter's dog enjoyed her month at Hilton Head. The open concept kitchen was great. We will definitely look at renting here again when we come back to Hilton Head. To note: We found the Players Club, about at five minute walk away, that has weekly and monthly memberships for the fitness facility, indoor pool and lots of fitness classes.

Thanks for the great review! The open kitchen is great, we just wish it was a littler larger! We have plans to renovate, but there will be a price jump once we do, so for now we're happy to be a great "value proposition" in the South Forest Beach area.

We were very disappointed with the property.

This villa is in need of paint and new carpet.. The carpet on the staircase is stained as is the carpet in the bedroom. The kitchen appliances were nice but the cabinets and drawers were in need of cleaning with crumbs and coffee stains were inside the drawers. We ate out for every meal.. The extra bedroom was too warm and we were unable to keep the temperature set at a comfortable setting. We arrived at night and had difficulty finding the villa for lack of lighting.. The lock is difficult to use which is was problem in the dark while using our phones for a flashlight. From the pictures and description we certainly expected way nicer..The villa is also very dark in the daytime.. The pool was decent though. I have been to HHI vacationing for 35 years and never written a negative review on anything..I feel bad writing this but the villa tarnished my vacation and also my friends that I invited..

Susan, we're so disappointed to hear that you did not care for our condo. We do try to be transparent regarding all elements of the condo by specifying in the description that: "It is NOT luxury accommodations. It is a well-loved (i.e. well-used) unit that can always use updates and maintenance. If you are seeking a pristine space, this is not a great fit." and including a list of repairs we would love to make to the space. We agree that the carpeting feels worn, especially next to the brand new LVT flooring on the main level. That said, we do expect our cleaning service to leave you a CLEAN space and would have been more than happy to have them out to correct anything that was less-than-acceptable. I am also surprised to hear any issues with the lock as we've had 24 tenants in 2018 and have never had concerns. I also scanned my messages with you and did not see anything indicating a problem. If you could provide me with details, it would be tremendously helpful. We hope the island did not disappoint during your visit and that you return to Hilton Head if not to our own property! Comfortable, Inexpensive, Great for Families and Kids

I came to HH off season to be able to spend some quality time with my sister without our kids. This condo was perfect because it roomy, comfortable, in a great location, and inexpensive enough that we were still able to go out and hit the outlets! The place was clean and organized, and I liked the fact that there were normal items available that I might not bring or want to purchase a huge container of like salt and pepper, sugar, coffee filters, body lotion, etc. The location is great too! So close to the beach and shopping. The pool is practically in the backyard. It was closed for the season when I was here but looks nice. My kids will love it for sure. The furnishings are clean but not new, so it is nice to have a more lived in, family atmosphere where I wouldn't be afraid to let my kids sit on the sofa. There are plenty of sleeping options too, so it would be perfect for even a two family vacation (maybe next year?) Since I was there in the winter we ran the heat. I only gave it 4 stars because it was a little hot upstairs and a little cool downstairs. I imagine this is mostly because of the gorgeous and TALL vaulted ceiling and all the heat goes up. Not sure what one can do about it, and it was still totally livable. The kitchen looks small on first glance, but the open concept really gives more usable space and is great for socializing. My sister is something of a gourmet chef, so we opted for the "gourmet cabinet upgrade". Totally worth it. They are super high end appliances and food prep tools. She was able to work really well in the kitchen and made some amazing meals. I drank wine and 'helped'. Make sure when you stay here you rent beach cruisers from Bicycle Billy's on Pope Ave. We had a great time biking around the south end of the island, and I noticed that they have Wee Ride trailer bikes and tag along bikes that I will rent when I come back with my family. Rates are good and there are coupons and promotions available online.

Thanks for all your thoughts. You're so right about that heating issue...in the cold weather, the heat does a wonderful job warming the ceiling! (which doesn't do us our our guests much good!) Since your visit, we have added magnetic register covers upstairs that renters can use to regulate the heat/air to the bedroom/loft, but it is still not perfect. Our next step will be to install a really large fan in the living room to push all that heat DOWN (unless anyone out there has a better idea for us to balance the temp between two floors with a double-high ceiling). Certainly much less of an issue in warm weather than in cold! Regardless, thanks for the feedback, and we're so glad you're planning to return. Just to clarify for any potential tenants: the large kitchen appliances are not "super high-end" (actually, they're really basic). What this guest is referring to are the food processor, cutlery, etc., that are available at a small additional charge. (The thought being that anyone who is willing to pay extra for such appliances is sure to understand how to take care of them).

We love South Forest Beach. The newly renovated Tiki Hut is great for music and a beach view and Lagerheads (The Pool/Beach bar you walk by going to the beach, which is on the Marriot Property) makes a nice pitstop! This end of the island felt more like an 'island' (the other end feels more commercial to us), and the plantations take so long to get in and out of...this is so much more convenient!
