Lake Gaston waterfront home! Our guests love using our free pontoon boat !

The Inn at Raintree sits among shade trees on the Lake Gaston waterfront. The moment you arrive, it feels like home. The spacious six-bedroom, four-bathroom home has an open floor plan. All rooms are decorated. The comfort of our guests is our top priority. There is plenty space to relax. A new sunroom porch has sliding glass windows offering sparkling views of the lake. Enjoy a cup of complementary coffee or tea as you enjoy our new porch swing.

Our fully equipped kitchen is ready to serve your guests at two large tables. For the outdoor cook, there are 2 grills, gas and charcoal. Bring along some wood and roast marshmallows! Relax around our fire pit under the starry night sky.

Bring all your devices. We now have fiber internet so stream with confidence!

The game room is the Fun Zone. Play a game of foosball, shuffleboard or bowling. Enjoy a game of ping pong or corn hole. If you like fast action, test your reflexes playing on our new X-Box-X video game system. Enjoy the superb quality of our Blu-ray movie selection. Direct TV is also available in every room. Classic board games, puzzles and cards are available for enjoying all your favorite games.

Our boat house has a wide selection of life vests and floats. The private dock is the perfect place to soak up the sun. Grab a paddleboard, a kayak, or take out a canoe.

Our 24 foot pontoon boat is available to our guests free of charge. It is not a speed boat - I call it the party barge. (Rated for 12) A favorite activity is towing friends on floats or boards behind the boat.
A totally 100% refundable boat deposit is required 30 days before you arrive.

VRBO IS NOT a part of my boat agreement. Free boat use is my gift to my guests. Contact me directly with any boat questions - NOT VRBO.
You may bring your own boat and use my open slip at no cost. A variety of watercraft are available in our boathouse. Get out and have big fun on the water!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Place all trash in the 2 large bins at the driveway entrance as you leave. Our trash service is on Tuesdays.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Both outdoor BBQ grills should be cleaned, turned off and covered for the next guest as you leave..
Firepit should be covered with steel lid when guest is leaving. Cool ashes can be placed in the black ash pail.
Please leave the sandbox as you found it. Replace the cover to keep the sandbox safe and clean and ready for the next child.

Great Time at Smoketree !!

Our stay was wonderful - the home had everything we needed - sheets, towels, washer, dryer with detergent, kitchen spices, wood for the fire pit ( great to roast s'mores)- dock had rafts, kayaks, canoe, kids loved tubbing - everyone had a great time!!

Very clean and well kept, owner was very customer service oriented. Boat was great and kids had a ball with all the water toys. Close by to shopping and marinas. We have rented on lake Gaston before but this lake house, owner and property manager were over the top.

We had a great time. Such a nice home and well-equipped, inside and out. Be prepared to make your own beds upon arrival, except the bunks.

Incredible Family Vacation

This had to be the most relaxing family vacation we have ever taken! The house was wonderful and fit all of our needs. Having the ability to have the boat for the week made our trip even more memorable. Steve was a great host and very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend! and hope to make it back again!

Family gathering

A great place for a big family. The house was not super clean on check in and oddly the beds had not been made. Minor stuff overall and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Plenty of Room

We had a wonderful time. With our larger group of 10 we had plenty of space and didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Some areas could use a bit of additional cleaning but the owner was more than receptive. The property is beautiful.

Family vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Inn At Raintree. We spent a majority of our time at the dock and in the lake. The area is a great place for tubing with the kids. Dock is a great place to gather as is the screened-in porch. The living area is comfy and held our group for game nights. Steve was a wonderful, responsive host. Our family hopes to return next year.

This home and all its wonderful amenities provided our family with an incredible vacation. The home is beautifully decorated, clean, and the design and functionality was perfect for our family. Steve was responsive and informative throughout the process, and patient with all my many questions. Great week

Our family enjoyed our stay at Inn at Raintree, despite Hurricane Debby’s best attempts to rain us out. We spent a great deal of time at the dock enjoying the lake. Steve provides a nice assortment of water toys, kayaks, canoes and a paddleboard. The family enjoyed game nights on the screened porch. Steve is a wonderful, responsive host.

Everything about the house was wonderful. Steve, the host, provides everything you need for a perfect stay -- there were plenty of beach towels, kitchen towels, coffee pods, tea choices, and even sunscreen. The use of the boat made for a perfect week. The boat house was full of life jackets and water sport activities. And there were 4 kayaks, 2 SUP, and a canoe that got a lot of use. A neighbor helps care for things at the house and when Steve found out the sitting tube was broken, he had the neighbor deliver another one the next day fully inflated. We had the best week at the Inn at Raintree!

Lake tripp 2023

The Inn at Rain Tree Rocks

This was my first VRBO rental. I was so happy with the process. Our host was very kind and was in contact throughout the process. The house was more than what we imagined it would be. On the lake with the extended family with plenty of room to spare. Bottom line: This property was exactly as advertised. Highly recommend!! Lastly, I asked if my family wanted to come back, they answered "ABSOLUTELY". Enough said..

Steve is a wonderful host. He responds to any questions and concerns quickly. His home is a great place for families to gather. Our family has stayed at Inn at Raintree for several years. Each time, we notice new upgrades. The sunroom is a welcome addition! Many family meals and games were shared there. The dock and the boat are our favorite spots to gather. The kids enjoyed tubing and swimming. The downstairs gathering area was a great spot for kids movie days when it was a bit too rainy to be outdoors. The outdoor pingpong table was used for a family tournament. Thanks, Steve, for allowing us the use of your home.

A rental house that felt like home from beginning to end

From initial emails to final goodbyes, Steven was a fantastic host, and his beautiful lakefront home did not disappoint. He let us know up front what to expect, the resources and services around town available to us, and how to access every ounce of fun available to my family. We enjoyed days in the lake, reading on the dock, playing on the wide variety of floats and water toys, or just afternoons hanging inside. There were 11 of us (5 boys from 1.5 - 12 y.o. and 6 adults from 37-74!), and no one felt overcrowded. From the porches to firepit to the screened in dining space to the game room to the docks, there was always something to do or space to relax and do nothing. We made fantastic memories. I highly recommend staying at the Inn at Raintree!

Excellent lake house

We had a wonderful time at the lake. The house was spacious, nicely appointed and very clean. Bill was a great host - very responsive and helpful. We rented a boat with the house and the kids had a great time water-skiing. I would highly recommend this property.

Lake Vacation

Our family of 14 ages 3 years old to 64 years old had a great time at the Inn at Raintree. Plenty of room for everyone. Kids loved the downstairs game room. A few updates are needed i.e new kitchen faucet and grill. Nothing that hampered our stay.

This property was beyond clean. We felt very welcomed by Bill and he went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We loved that the home is located in a great ski/surf/wakeboard cove and not far off the main lake. We couldn't have asked for a better VRBO experiance.

Wonderful stay at the Inn at Raintree

We had a wonderful week at this beautifully decorated home. There were eight of us from 79 to 12 years of age. the six bedroom house will sleep 18. We were looking for a place on Lake Gastan with easy access to the water with a big dock, and large home for all of us to have some privacy and room for games and reading. (don't remember to much reading but I do remember our 4 grand kids having a super time. The bottom floor of the house was a great place for the kids to play games and for us to watch James Bond movies at night. From there easy access to the water with not steps. Kitchen, dinning and three bedrooms on the main level were all great. Finally we were able to rent the owner's pontoon boat for the week along with water toys like a big rubber pull behind and water skies. Of course they were a hit for the kids.

Raintree is an established neighborhood full of fine homes. Feel free to stroll safely around Raintree. Our friendly neighbors all love the Lake Life. A few miles away are good local stores and very good restaurants.

The Inn at Raintree has all the comforts of home . My guests enjoy using my pontoon boat to explore Lake Gaston. Our full kitchen has everything you need. After dinner, relax and play games in our new sunroom. The boathouse is stocked with aquatic gear for you. Gather around our stone patio firepit to relax. Cook on our two outdoor grills. Our game room with Xbox is loads of fun. The kitchenette has a fridge and microwave. Watch blu ray movies while munching warm popcorn. All bedroom TV sets have Direct TV. The Inn at Raintree is the perfect gathering place.
