Whoever took those pictures was professional, the pier wasnt right on the property as I assumed but it was pretty close! Very clean and welcoming stay, Id advise for a party of 5 or less. Pools were kept up, I would give an overall rating of 4.5. Check in was easy, check out instructions were clear and transparent, communication was awesome!
Prime location!! Its a short drive to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and gas station. The communication with the host was great right from booking all the way to check out time. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed.
Pics look great, but don't show all about this property.
The great: First off, the beds were VERY comfy! Rooms were decorated nicely!Glad to have some stocked snacks in the kitchen!Canal is right next to the building! Should have tried fishing it.The garage has a hose to rinse off beach salt and sand off vehicle. The host was very helpful and super responsive. The meh: this was built in 1974, so it's 50 years old, it feels that old. It could use some TLC to make easier to use. The 2 bedrooms are right next to each other with a completely stuck pocket door between. Zero privacy. The garage is open to any passerby, along with the 27 other cars in it, is downstairs, has no door to secure vehicle and is very short ceiling, antenna scraped the whole way in and out.The double front door into the apt/condo is only secured with a pin at the top, is missing the one at the bottom, this could easily push open. Bathrooms are very small, super small sink area. The shower fixture comes out of the wall, is not secure or sanitary, IMHO.The kitchen was ok, but had fruit flies coming out of one side of the sink. Glad for the stacked W/D laundry, but it is crazy loud, don't plan on starting a load and going to bed like we did. Tile floors were quite uneven and stubbed toes. The light switches were hard to find in some rooms. Not where you expect them. And lastly, the trim work and paint had much to be desired, very old and worn. You can see some attached pics. Sorry to be so direct in this review, but I wish I knew these things before.

Hi Joseph,
Thanks for your feedback — we always appreciate hearing different perspectives.
Just to clarify a few things: you were visiting a 50-year-old building on a barrier island, which clearly you saw on the platform and the pics included. Salt air, sand, and the tropical climate do tend to cause a bit more wear and tear than, say, a suburban hotel room in Ohio. That’s just part of island life — and part of why people love the character and location here.
You also stayed during July 4th weekend — the absolute busiest time of year — and secured one of the most competitively priced stays in the area. Most comparable places were significantly more expensive or completely booked out. We’re glad you were able to take advantage of the value.
We wish the experience had met your expectations more closely, but many of the things you pointed out (like shared parking garages, older construction, or how light switches are placed) are common features of beachside condos built in the 1970s.
Thanks again for choosing our place, even if only briefly.
