Just to clarify a few things: you were visiting a 50-year-old building on a barrier island, which clearly you saw on the platform and the pics included. Salt air, sand, and the tropical climate do tend to cause a bit more wear and tear than, say, a suburban hotel room in Ohio. That’s just part of island life — and part of why people love the character and location here. You also stayed during July 4th weekend — the absolute busiest time of year — and secured one of the most competitively priced stays in the area. Most comparable places were significantly more expensive or completely booked out. We’re glad you were able to take advantage of the value. We wish the experience had met your expectations more closely, but many of the things you pointed out (like shared parking garages, older construction, or how light switches are placed) are common features of beachside condos built in the 1970s.
