Cleanliness is one of our highest priorities, and we take great pride in maintaining an immaculate space. Our property has never allowed pets—ever, so any suggestion that pet odors were present is simply not accurate. Before every stay, we conduct a thorough, professional cleaning that includes mopping and washing not just sheets, but also comforters, mattress protectors, pillows, and even shower curtains. That’s how seriously we take clean! As part of our final inspection, we also use Clorox wipes to re-sanitize all high-touch surfaces, ensuring a fresh and hygienic environment. We assume that this may be the scent John noticed, but this is the first time we have ever heard such a concern. We firmly stand by the high standards that have earned us the trust of so many happy guests. We treat this home with the same high standards, cleanliness, and expectations that we would have for ourselves and our family. Every detail is carefully maintained to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests. What this review indicates does not truly reflect on our property, nor does it align with the experiences of our many other satisfied guests. We are committed to being available 24/7 to assist guests in any way possible. We live just 15 minutes away and are always happy to help with anything that might come up. If there’s ever a concern, we encourage guests to communicate with us so we can address it promptly. In this instance, we had personally been at the property just an hour before the guest arrived with no indication of any issues. The moment John reached out, we responded within minutes and immediately offered to come over to investigate and re-clean. However, his immediate reply was that he was heading out for dinner. While we were more than willing to assist, it made it difficult to fully resolve the concern in real-time. After speaking further with John, it became clear that he had higher expectations for how we should have handled this situation—expectations that were not communicated to us until after his stay and in his review. This included not only expecting us to come over immediately but also a personal greeting at the door upon arrival. While we always strive to provide outstanding hospitality, we also appreciate the opportunity to address concerns in real-time so we can ensure every guest has the best possible experience. In fact, John indicated thankfulness after dinner and never asked us to come over at any point for the remainder of the stay. Through his continued appreciation and lack of further concerns, it seemed clear that everything was resolved. At checkout, he even expressed that he wanted to return and was again thankful. We completely understand that every guest has their own expectations, and we always strive to exceed them. If something isn’t quite right, we truly appreciate the chance to make it right during your stay. Our guests consistently recognize the care and effort we put into ensuring a perfect vacation experience, and we are grateful for the hundreds of five-star reviews that reflect this.
