The property was very cute and fit our needs perfectly. The host was responsive to all my questions and even gave my husband some fishing tips. We were able to spend time in Lassen Park and do tons of hiking.

If your looking for a comfortable, relaxing easy going getaway/ this is your place! Everything you need- nothing you don’t/ AND a lake view! We will be back
We are a family of 3 who stayed at this cottage for couple of nights to explore Lassen National Park . Checking process was easy and the cottage was spotless clean and had a welcoming vibe ! The kitchenette is well equipped . The sofa bed is comfy too . We watched the sunset by the lake . There’s a well stocked grocery nearby and a lot of good eateries . The host was super responsive to questions . We would definitely recommend this place for a quick stay !

very neat, clean cottage. Love the decor inside and outside on the property. Perfect for 2 to 4 people. While we never met any of the staff, they were very friendly and communicated promptly. easy to work with. look forward to returning sometime in the future.
Came to the area to help rebuild the power infrastructure after the dixie fire. Found this location through a coworker. Showed up property mananger was there to show me around. Place was very clean and very quiet. Mananger checked in on me if there was anything i needed which was very nice! Overall great place to stay

This is a nice cottage for 2 on a short stay. The good: a quiet & clean location that is close to the lake. The bad: no privacy with see through window coverings. No range or stove to prepare food. Very limited parking.
Cute, clean, and quiet reasonable stay for 2 over the weekend. Solid location/access. A couple things that could be better; it is a downstairs of a home that has the stairs access door blocked but the stairs to go up has clear plexiglass with a curtain covering the view of the stairs. However, the curtain is on the owner side and has some easily viewable cracks. We covered the entire opening with a blanket and changed in the bathroom every time. Additionally, there were no privacy curtains on the windows that would give real privacy as well as block sunlight in the mornings. Overall good stay but would find something probably more private in the future.

Thank you Peter for the feedback. I’m sorry that the things you pointed out might prevent you from returning. These things will be addressed. Loni
Place was clean and easy to check in . Host was communicative and we had everything we needed. The water pressure and the double shower head was a nIce surprise. I did notice that some of the privacy issues mentioned on previous reviews were still there: There were no curtains on the kitchen window , very thin see through curtains on the bedroom window, and the giant floor to ceiling window and glass door inside of the bedroom with curtains only on the host side. We were lucky that the upstairs cabin was not occupied, so we had zero issues. But I can see how other guests might have felt uneasy to have a window inside of their bedroom where anyone could peep in from the other side. It would feel much more comfortable to have curtains on all windows that the guests have control over it.
My husband and I live in Central California and are walnut farmers. We are self employed and work on Wildland fires and other major incidents as they arise. We enjoy meeting people from all over the country and other countries as they participate in emergencies we work on.
Why they chose this property
The location of our cottage has always been special to my husband as he spent all of his life visiting Greenville and Lake Almanor as his family roots are here (and in the central valley). Grandma H built this cabin in 1962 and the cottage was added in later years. Many apple trees grow on this property, hence the name 6 Apple Cottage. One cannot get enough of the enormous beauty of Lake Almanor and the surrounding areas.
What makes this property unique
The beauty of Lake Almanor and it's many amenities in the area. Lassen National Park, Seneca (old gold mining town), the many small lakes hidden in the forest. Come discover all of the hidden gems!
