The DogWoods is a pet-friendly house just a two-minute walk from walk-in beach access to Bear Lake Utah. We are brand new, just on the market. This eclectic house is designed with dogs, kids, and families in mind. A large open-concept kitchen, dining, and family room encourage conversation and family fun. With parking for up to 6 cars and 1 boat, and beds for 28 people, you will have a great Bear Lake getaway. We have 6 bedrooms, a bunk room and a brand- new theater room. A huge deck with seating and a bbq grill make for a pet and people-friendly hang-out after a day on the beach. We provide a fully stocked house, wi-fi, and a washer and dryer. The fire pit is a second great gathering place after the sun goes down. The walkable trail to restaurants and shopping is easily accessed just around the corner. The city park with a fishing pond, playground, summer concerts, Raspberry days, and pickle ball courts are a quick walk away. We are offering amazing rates this summer to get great guests. City regulations limit the house to 2 dogs.
Cancelation policy
We don’t accept cancellations; however, we do:
• Offer to move you to a different date.
Or
• Re-open your dates. When or if they get re-booked, we will gladly refund you your money minus a 10% rebooking fee, or the price of the rebooking if the rates went down. We will keep you informed and ask for consent from you before we lower the rate.

The house was lovely and centrally located and worked great for our family reunion. There was room to park our boat as well as five or six cars. There were plenty of beds for everyone and enough seating at meals. It was pricey, but worth it.

3 days at Bear Lake

Very nice house. Almost new. We had 5 adults and 7 children. Everyone got their choice of bed. Plenty of table space for eating. My personal favorite touch was a small concrete pad by the side entrance with a handy hose and sprayer to wash off sand when returning from the lake

Family reunion

We had a wonderful time here. Very clean and very comfortable. Lots of beds and plenty of bathrooms for a large group. Fun theater room and a pet friendly home. Great place to stay and would stay again next year!

Perfect family getaway house!

We had three generations and a few pups here for a week during June and it was perfect!! The house had everything we needed in the kitchen. It was also decently accessible for two disabled adults (1 using a wheelchair and one a walker). We brought over the toilet supports but grab bars would make it great! We had people carry/support them up the few stairs. Four rooms and three bathrooms on the main floor made this super easy! They also allowed two extra dogs for a small cleaning fee. Beach access, parks and the town area were all super close and we enjoyed our walks. I was great to just talk a quick watch to the beach in between all the family action.

Great house!

Great home with lots of space and beds. The location is great with Pickleball courts nearby and just short drive to beaches and can walk to downtown. It was raining when we were there so we utilize the big basement area for cornhole and dance parties.

Pioneer Day at the Lake

Beautiful property with everything needed for a Great Weekend at the Lake. Being able to have our Pup's with us was a blessing. Loved everything about the Dogwoods property and the hosts.

Family reunion

We had an amazing stay! The Dogwood was so beautiful and clean! Owner was so nice to always respond to any questions or concerns. She was so accommodating and allowed us to have 5 dogs stay with us. This was so amazing and helpful because our dogs are our family. We had the best time and look forward to hopefully stay here again.

Great Space

New construction with basement under construction and a couple things in the works. This place is going to be fantastic when it's complete. Enjoyed the stay. Walking distance to downtown and a short drive to the beach.

Highly Recommend

My husband and I planned a last minute stay in Bear Lake for us, our six kids, and our dog. This place was fantastic! I loved that we could bring our dog. It’s close to so many things so it is very convenient. The only downsides were no TV and you do need to bring your own beach towels. Both not huge deal breakers. It was very clean and very well decorated!

The Dogwoods August 2024

This property was everything that we needed. The photos do not do it justice. There is so much room. Beds galore! The entire home is very, very clean. The only draw back is that there are two vacant lots on either side with folks living out of their RV's. One, however, looks like they are building so it won't be vacant for long. I know that this seems insignificant, but I really enjoyed the simple checkout process. As the name states, it is dog friendly! Amenities included for dogs! We will definitely keep this in mind for our next family reunion!

We enjoyed our stay at The Dogwoods. The house was mostly clean upon checkin, a maverick cup was left behind by the host, and the Kitchen counters had a lot of dead fruit flies all around (see photo). They were easy to clean up with a vacuum but was difficult to find a good sanitizer to disinfect the counters. The home otherwise was clean and spacious. You can tell they love dogs, they left a doggie basket near the door with toys, poop bags, harness, cloths, and treats. I didn’t bring my dogs but one of our last minute guest decided to bring their service animals, the listing said nothing about needing to let them l know of dogs were coming, and I didn’t see a check box when booking, also I wasn’t sure if my friends were coming when booking either. After checkout, we got multiple text from the host, one mix up about moving a bed (different property, than the one we stayed in) and going to charge us to move it back… once that worked itself out, I got a message asking about dogs… I didn’t realize I needed to tell them, but said yes, I had 2 registered service dogs with me. The host then went back on forth with me about ADA law, and asked for documentation on the service animals which is NOT allowed under the law. We provided the documents but did state it was against the law. In the end they didn’t charge us for the service animals but it was a fight. Overall I would stay here again.
