Monroe Peak Retreat ~ Comfortable Mountain Cabin with a view of Monroe Peak
With 4 private bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and wide open outdoor space there is ample room for family or friends or enjoy it all to yourselves. ESCAPE to the hills and breathe in the mountain air as you bask in the serenity of this private cabin on picturesque Monroe Mountain. It is named for it's view of Monroe Peak. It is listed for 8 guests, but there is more available sleeping space in the loft/attic with available single cots and plenty of room for sleeping bags and/or air mattresses. (If you use the attic space with our linens, we charge an extra $100 cleaning)
THE SPACE....
Don’t let the rustic outside of this cabin fool you as it boasts most of the amenities of home. Mostly brand new kitchen appliances and plenty of cookware make for an enjoyable cooking experience or you can barbecue on the porch. Lots of options for entertainment when you aren't out enjoying the great outdoors including: Youtube programming, Roku, several DVD's, books, puzzles, Playstation with Guitar Hero, and other family games. All are available for guest use. Retire to private bedrooms and enjoy the warmth and ambience provided by electric fireplaces in each bedroom.
GUEST ACCESS...
This is a private space, (not a shared space). The only access to the cabin is through the front door which is equipped with a keypad. Guests will self check in with a code and check in time can be arranged as needed.
This cabin is 13 miles from the nearest town of Monroe, Utah. It is on Monroe Mountain, approximately 10,000 ft above sea level. (Fishlake National Forest) and It will take you close to an hour from the town of Monroe.
You will access it on a winding, dirt, MOUNTAIN Road, but the drive also has incredible, awe-inspiring views. It is best accessed with a truck, jeep, SUV or OHV. Please check with us if you have any questions about transportation before booking.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE....
**The water is from a well, and is cold, good and safe to drink. (No need to load up on bottled water unless you prefer it.)
**Elevation is approximately 10,000 feet above sea level. We have blocked out dates after the first week in October as we will turn off the water inside the cabin to prevent freezing pipes, but you can contact us we can discuss logistics and possibilities of late fall/winter stays It would be accessible with snowmobiles or snow machines during the winter.
**If you are needing a day before or at the end of your stay that is showing unavailable, reach out to us with your request because it is still a possibility that we can accommodate your needed dates. Our settings automatically block a day before and after a stay for cleaning/preparation and sometimes it isn't necessary depending on our cleaner's schedules.
**We love our furry friends and would rather take them with us when we travel and so we understand and are great with you bringing your own furry children along as long as they are watched closely by their owners. However, sometimes the furry ones do put added time and responsibility on our cleaners. Because of this we kindly request a pet fee of $50. This is a total fee, NOT per pet and NOT per night. Please be courteous and bring your own blankets and beds for them to sleep/snuggle on.
