An absolutely comfortable home with a beautiful "mountain cabin feel" and having an excellent layout so everyone has their own space. Large bedrooms, great kitchen, perfect dining room and a drive big enough for our cars. We so loved out the living room was "warm and comfortable and the dining room felt like it was out of a movie set". Plus, it is a brief easy walk to the shops and restaurants of Basalt.
The classic cabin is about 10 mins walking distance to Basalt. The property is a large lot, big grassy area and view into the canyon. The cabin, while old school, is a big home with dining room, living room, 3 bedrooms, plus loft area where others can sleep. Kitchen has a nice view. We chose the location because it’s close to family in Basalt and Old Snowmass. Lovely neighborhood of full time residents.
Beautiful property, perfect landscaping, modern kitchen, heavily treed site, close to downtown
We liked the house the yard the neighborhood. The master BR and bath were great. Need AC in upstairs BR. Need TV in living room and better seating arrangements. Agent was helpful and responsive
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was great and the home was nice and roomy. Our only suggestion is that the upstairs bathroom needs a window covering for privacy. We had to hang a towel over the window for privacy. Also, the blinds in the upstairs bedroom were a little rickety and since they are right next to the head of the bed, they rattled whenever you moved.

Thank you for your feedback. I have installed a window covering in the bathrooom and will work on the blinds in the bedroom.
We were excited to stay at this cabin in Basalt for a week but our experience far exceeded our expectations. Stacey is an amazing host and she provided so much guidance for hikes, restaurants, markets, bike rentals, concerts, farmers markets, etc during our stay. She takes great care of this property, which is very fortunate because the cabin has many wonderful pieces of western furniture and art. We were just two of us so we didn't really use the upstairs space but the main floor has a very attractive living room, beautiful dining room, spacious master bedroom and bath, and very well-equipped kitchen. We loved the front patio to eat meals outside (the cabin is in a nice neighborhood) and also the Adirondack chairs on a nicely kept lawn, with lots of pretty flowers, facing the mountains.
The town of Basalt is just charming--such a welcome change from Aspen yet still convenient to hikes and shopping both east and west in the Roaring Fork Valley--and has lots of really good restaurants.
I hope we'll have the chance to come back to this special spot again!
