Summer sunshine and beautiful views of Hamblin Pond fill this classic Mashpee home, gorgeously situated among the trees on Monomoscoy Island. This is a place to get out on the water each day, whether you're launching the paddleboard and two-person kayak or swimming from the private beach on the pond.
This two-story home sits on a spacious piece of property on Monomoscoy Island, a peninsula just south of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge. So much is within a short, scenic drive of you here, including the Cape Cod Children's Museum (two miles), Mashpee Commons (four miles), and South Cape Beach (five miles).
Begin and end each summer day outside in the expansive backyard, a wonderfully shady space with views of Hamblin Pond filtering through mature trees. It's the perfect spot to rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach, watch your kids play tag in the grass, and light the gas grill for a sunset barbecue on the deck. There's also a firepit at the water's edge where you can tell stories, roast marshmallows, and stargaze in the evenings.
The house exudes a sense of easy coastal elegance, from the wood floors to the large windows that frame the surrounding trees. Make yourself at home in a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an open dining area overlooking the backyard, and a living room with a cable TV that opens to the deck. Of the three serene bedrooms, one has its own TV and another offers a desk where you can log onto the WiFi. A washer/dryer and central air are provided as well.
