Our family guest house offers incredible views of beautiful sunsets nestled on Mt. Desert Island (MDI). Spacious and cozy accommodation for 6-8 guests with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and an incredible 2nd level for a fantastic family stay.

Situated just 10 miles from downtown Bar Harbor and 7 miles from the breathtaking Acadia National Park, our property ensures both convenience and tranquility during your stay. Located 2 miles from Town Hill Market, where you can access the free Island Explorer bus (in-season only). Other local nearby Town Hill establishments include the Atlantic Brewing Company, Mainly Meats, Sassafras, Mother’s Kitchen, and the Traveling Lobster.

Nestled on 16 acres of peaceful, family-owned land, our guest cottage offers stunning views of Western Bay and Blue Hill. The cottage shares a deck with the owners’ home, where Ralph and Judy live next door. While they’re close by if you need anything, they fully respect your privacy and will stay out of sight. A few other family members also live on the property and are happy to help if questions arise—otherwise, you'll enjoy the space and tranquility all to yourself.

New for 2025: The open kitchen and dining area now features brand-new countertops, sink, and lighting—creating a welcoming space for the whole family to wake up, cook, eat, relax, play games, or plan the day's adventures. We've also added a comfy, cozy sectional sofa to the upstairs living room for even more space to unwind.

Other upgrades include fully refreshed bedrooms and bathrooms with fresh paint throughout. Enjoy new King and Queen beds with high-quality gel memory foam mattresses, luxurious bedding, linens, pillows, and towels—plus stylish new décor. We've also added two large smart TVs (55" and 43") for your entertainment.

The ground floor features two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious dining area, two bathrooms, and a laundry room with a washer / dryer. The main bedroom boasts a King-sized memory foam gel bed and en suite bathroom, positioned at the front of the house. Meanwhile, the second bedroom, furnished with a comfy hybrid memory gel foam Queen bed, is located at the rear, providing access to a deck overlooking Western Bay and Blue Hill through a sliding glass door.

The second-floor great room is an expansive space ideal for relaxation, gaming, work, and rest. Adorned with beautiful high wood ceilings with bay windows presenting stunning sunset views over Western Bay and Blue Hill. The living area features a brand-new sectional couch with two recliners facing a new 55" flat-screen smart TV equipped with DirecTV. surround sound and DVD player. The opposite end offers a cozy nook for relaxing, reading, and studies. The room also boasts a professional-grade pool table, a gaming table for cards, games and puzzles, 2 futons for sleeping or seating and a Queen size bed.

Appreciate the serene privacy of our property while being minutes away from the hustle & bustle of Downtown Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, or Ellsworth. Just a 12-minute drive (7 miles) to Acadia National Park's main entrance in Hulls Cove, our location provides easy access to the park and its surroundings. Additionally, the seasonal Island Explorer bus system, accessible from Town Hill Market, offers hassle-free transportation around Mount Desert Island, including the National Park, with bicycle-loading options.

Beach towels and chairs are available for visits to Sand Beach, Echo Lake, or Seal Harbor beaches. A front farmer's porch furnished with rocking chairs invites you to relish the cool breeze among the trees, while the rear porch overlooking Clark's Cove is perfect for family meals or relaxation. The rear deck extends to a grassy space, bocce court, play area, and grill.

Please note our minimum stay requirements: 4 nights in May and September; 6 nights June, July, and August; 3 nights in the off-season, with corresponding peak and off-peak rates. We do not allow pets on the property or in the house, although a kennel is available approximately 1 mile away. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises.

Rest assured, we prioritize your comfort, providing fresh linens and towels, along with Fujitsu heat pumps in the living/kitchen area and master bedroom. Ceiling fans are installed in key areas, and for chilly weather the first and second floors offer radiant and baseboard heat, respectively. Additionally, an automatic generator ensures uninterrupted power in case of outages.

For travel convenience, various airport options are available to reach Bar Harbor, including the nearby Hancock County Airport (Bar Harbor), a 10-minute drive from our property, offering daily Cape Air flights to Boston. Other accessible airports include Bangor (1-hour drive), Portland, ME (3-hour drive), and Boston (5-6-hour drive). Detailed driving directions will be provided upon reservation through VRBO upon request.
