Great place. Family of four had a lot of fun staying here. The kids really liked sleeping in the loft area. Location is great, within a few miles to hiking and restaurants, etc. We enjoyed fishing around the lake. One downside is this property does not have a dock like the other properties around the lake. But there is a community dock you can use. To be clear, the description did not say there was a dock, however it does say kayaks provided in the full property description but there are no kayaks. Not a big problem for us. You can bring your own. All around, it’s a good property and we enjoyed our stay.

Glad your family enjoyed the cabin near the lake. The loft is a fun adventure for the kids. Come see us again!
The cabin was very nice. It was very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone had a great time fishing and swimming. We will be staying again.
I loved the cabin! It was clean, looked just like the pics, and we had no major problems! Tons of room, it could honestly probably sleep more than 8 in a pinch, and the downstairs bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in!A couple minor issues, the downstairs doesn't have heating, which was great for my siste

That is a beautiful cabin and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Plenty of room for everyone, plus more. Come stay with us again.
My husband and I are from Arizona and we reserved this cabin so we could have a mini getaway with our daughter and her family from Alabama. The three bedrooms on three different levels gave us all a place to sleep with the space needed for privacy if and when it was wanted. Added fun - The foosball table was great entertainment for the children and grandpa! The place was clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful three night stay.

Glad you had a good time in the cabin. Sounds like grandpa made some good memories with the kiddos! Come back and see us.
A short family trip to kayak in the crystal clear mine close by.
The cabin was so nice and as advertised. The only concern we had was not being able to turn the air below 72 degrees during the warm/humid summer. The nights were warm while trying to sleep. Luckily, the second day was overcast and we kept the blinds closed to help with the inside heat. Overall a good stay.
The cabin was as described. The beds were decent, better than most cabins I’ve stayed in. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen wares. The location was great, quite secluded, but still 15 minutes or so to natural bridge.
The basement was quite humid and musty and the bed in the middle of the room was odd and not of much use. I noticed most of the other cabins provided kayaks and canoes to use the lake, but ours did not have them. Also no seating at the fire place other than a picnic table. Had to carry chairs from the deck.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're glad to hear that the cabin largely met your expectations with its comfortable beds and well-stocked kitchen. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the humidity in the basement; we'll look into ways to improve ventilation in that area. Regarding the bed arrangement and fireplace seating, we appreciate your feedback and will consider ways to enhance these aspects for future guests.
We regret any misunderstanding regarding the kayaks and canoes; not all cabins on our property include these amenities, and we apologize if this wasn't made clear.
We hope despite these issues, you were still able to enjoy the secluded location and proximity to natural attractions. Your insights are invaluable to us as we strive to continually improve our guests' experiences.
The cabin was great! Lots of room, clean etc. The only problem we had was the gravel road getting to cabin. If you have a truck or SUV, it should be fine. The loop around the pond needs to be marked 1 way. It is only 1 car width wide and few places were there isn't a ditch on both sides. Also, our cabin required a 7 point turn to turn our van around to get out of the driveway. We did back out a couple times but lots of ditches to get stuck in. We made it work, but am thankful it didn't rain which would have made it more difficult. Again-- if u have a truck/4wheel drive -- you would be good. We have a mini van so challenging at times.

Thank you for the kind words—we’re glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin and found it clean and spacious! We understand that the gravel road and driveway can be a bit challenging for larger vehicles without 4WD, especially in tighter areas. While we don’t have plans to make the pond loop one-way, we do encourage guests to drive slowly and use caution, especially when passing other vehicles. We appreciate your feedback and are glad the weather stayed dry for your visit!
This cabin was clean and basic needs are met. There are some maintenance issues that need to be addressed, namely the critters we could hear in the walls, which for the light sleepers our group, definitely compromised our ability to sleep. The property management company was made aware but offered not much more help than an apology and acknowledgement that it's a struggle this time of year to keep mice/squirrels/chipmunks from finding ways inside. Sinks drained slowly and water pressure was weak, especially if water was being run in more than one location. The property does not have it's own dock for the nearby, small lake, but you can use a public dock on the opposite side to launch a kayak or canoe from. Some weak spots in the deck have obviously been patched and some others may need a patch soon. Overall good stay minus some maintenance issues. Appreciated that it's pet friendly, though no extra amenities were offered specifically for pets. Wifi worked for taking video calls and streaming TV.

Relaxing and Quiet
We are 2 over 50 yr old couple, stayed Sunday to Friday. Description is accurate, however no kayak availability or dock on the lake for this rental unit. Description says there is kayaks but there isnt. You can use public dock though.. we even called and asked if we could use other cabins owned by rental company and was told no. Bath on main floor backed up and sink in kitchen back up into same shower. Called about it and was told maintenance would be notified but was same when we left Friday. This cabin has ALL STEPS. Not great for older folks or folks w small kids. Your expected to do dishes and wipe down counters. I would just say wash before using because we found utensils not clean.. The cabin was clean. It is gated and has a nice location.................

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again! Thank you for the feedback.
We were never able to enjoy our time in the cabin, we spent the majority of our stay trying to keep our toddlers fingers out of the loose electrical covers. There are multiple covers that were not flush with the wall and he could put his fingers behind them. The house had a very moldy smell and there was black mold on the ground level. The bed was not made and had no bedding to be found. There is no pond access which we thought we would have. And nobody came to do any storm clean up so everything was a complete mess.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
To clarify, the cabin itself did not experience structural storm damage, though limbs were down in the area. Cleanup was prioritized for cabins with actual damage, and we apologize if this impacted your stay.
In terms of lake access, while the cabin does not have a private dock, our guests are welcome to use the communal dock and a small, private cove accessible from the cabin. We hope this provides a relaxing and enjoyable lake experience.
We also wish you had reached out to us during your stay or at checkout regarding the issues you encountered. That would have allowed us the opportunity to address them promptly, ensuring a more enjoyable experience. Nevertheless, we’re taking steps to address the electrical covers and odor concerns you noted.
This beautiful Cabin in Deerwater Lake Gated Community boasts its own private fishing pond. Perfect Cabin for swimming, kayaking, sunbathing, and small groups who want to get away and enjoy the scenic setting of woods, water, and wildlife.
