ESCAPE TO WALLA WALLA WINE COUNTRY — YOUR PRIVATE KING SUITE ACROSS FROM TH...
Planning a summer escape to Walla Walla wine country? Imagine arriving to a bright, ground-floor suite on a quiet College Place cul-de-sac, sinking into a brand-new king bed, and stepping out your own door to a serene garden patio — with a colorful park, complete with playground, duck pond, and splash-play area, just across the street. That is the Magnolia Suite: an easy, homey, wonderfully calm base for everything that makes a Walla Walla summer special.
You should not have to pack the whole house, juggle a cramped hotel room, or drive 20 minutes to everything you came to enjoy. The Magnolia Suite is thoughtfully stocked, self-check-in simple, and positioned so the best of the season is on your doorstep. Unpack once, pour a cup of coffee on the patio, and let your trip begin.

- A brand-new luxury KING mattress for the kind of sleep that actually makes a vacation feel like one
- Directly across from Lion's Park: playground, duck pond, splash-play area, and shaded walking paths — a summer dream for families

THE SPACE — ROOM TO BREATHE (SLEEPS UP TO 4)
The Magnolia Suite is the comfortable lower-level suite of a well-kept home, with its own private entrance and a layout designed to feel open and restful.
- Private bedroom with a brand-new KING bed, quality linens, extra pillows and blankets, and ample closet space with hangers
- Bright living area with a comfortable hide-a-bed queen, so the suite sleeps up to four guests with ease
- A real piano, a selection of board games, and a small table that doubles as a laptop-friendly workspace — perfect for a slow morning or a remote workday
- Clean, well-appointed bathroom stocked with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and a hair dryer
- Central heating and air conditioning to keep the suite cool through warm Walla Walla summer afternoons
A KITCHEN THAT IS ACTUALLY READY FOR YOU
Travelers who like to cook will feel right at home. The full kitchen comes equipped with a full-size refrigerator, oven, microwave, and a coffee maker with K-cup pods provided, plus the everyday cooking basics, dishes, and silverware you need to make a real meal. (One honest note: there is no dishwasher.) Whether it is a quick breakfast before a winery day or a relaxed dinner in after exploring, you have everything to make it easy.
YOUR PRIVATE SUMMER PATIO
Step out your own door to a quiet, shaded back patio with Adirondack chairs and a leafy garden. It is the kind of spot where mornings start with coffee in the fresh air and afternoons slow down completely. As one guest put it, "the back patio space is very serene in the afternoons." Another wrote, "From the moment you step out of your vehicle and see the beautiful landscaping, you feel at ease." That feeling is exactly what the Magnolia Suite is built to deliver.
THE LOCATION — WALK TO THE PARK, DRIVE TO THE WINE
The Magnolia Suite puts you in the heart of it all while keeping you tucked away on a peaceful street.
- ACROSS THE STREET: Lion's Park, newly redesigned with a playground, duck pond, splash-play area, green space, and walking paths — wonderful for families and easy summer evenings
- UNDER 1 MILE: Walla Walla University and the shops, cafes, and restaurants of downtown College Place — an easy walk or a two-minute drive
- ABOUT 10 MINUTES: Downtown Walla Walla and dozens of award-winning wineries and tasting rooms, plus farmers markets, galleries, and summer festivals
- A SHORT DRIVE: Blue Mountain trails, golf, and scenic country roads for biking and exploring
A car is the easiest way to enjoy the area, and there is plenty of parking right on site, with additional street parking out front.
PERFECT FOR YOUR KIND OF SUMMER TRIP
- Wine country travelers who want a calm, central home base between tastings
- Families who will love having the park, playground, and splash area right across the street
- Visitors to Walla Walla University — prospective students, parents, and graduation guests
- Traveling professionals and travel nurses who need a clean, quiet, fully equipped place for a longer stay (one recent guest, a travel nurse, called it "perfect")
- Couples looking for an easy, unfussy weekend in the wine country
WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING
Our guests come back again and again, and they tell the story better than we can:
- "The home is clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Parking is convenient. Instructions are easy to follow and the host is very responsive."
- "I always feel at home here."
- "Magnolia was everything its listing promised. Great communication before and during my stay."
- "Very clean, not cluttered, and has all of the basic essentials."
We are proud that so many guests describe the suite as feeling like home — that is the whole goal.
YOUR EASY ARRIVAL — HERE IS THE PLAN
1. Book your summer dates.
2. Arrive on your own schedule with simple keyless self check-in — no waiting, no key handoff.
3. Settle in, brew a coffee, and let the trip begin.
Before you arrive you will receive clear, friendly instructions and a quick rental agreement and ID verification handled by a trusted third party, so everything is secure and effortless. Have a question during your stay? We are responsive and genuinely happy to help with recommendations for wineries, restaurants, and the best of the season.
A FEW HONEST NOTES (WE BELIEVE IN NO SURPRISES)
We want your stay to be exactly what you expect, so a little transparency up front:
- The Magnolia Suite is one of three private suites within the home. The walls and floors can be on the thinner side, so you may occasionally hear neighbors — and they may hear you. For everyone's comfort, we keep quiet hours from 10pm to 7am.
- The home sits on a convenient main street between Home Depot and Walmart and across from the park, so there is some daytime road noise. If a completely silent retreat is your top priority, this lively, walkable location may not be the best match — but for easy access to everything, it is hard to beat.
- For the comfort of all guests and our shared HVAC, this is a strictly no-pets and no-smoking suite.
- Security cameras are located at the home's exterior entrance for your safety.
COME STAY AWHILE
Whether you are here for the wineries, a weekend with the family, a visit to the university, or a longer work stay, the Magnolia Suite is ready to make it easy, comfortable, and genuinely restful. Bright rooms, a brand-new king bed, a stocked kitchen, a serene patio, and the park right across the street — all waiting for your Walla Walla summer. Book your dates today and come stay awhile.

This property is very clean, huge and quiet. The host has given me five star hospitality. Always available when needed. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended another two weeks.if I was able to give 10 stars if I could.

About the host
Hosted by Mindi Irvine
I grew up in College Place, just a few blocks from this home. We moved back to the area a few years ago and have really enjoyed moving back to the slower pace of life. My husband, Lance, and I own businesses and keep ourselves busy between those and spending time with our 4 adult children.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is friendly and safe and very close and convenient to anywhere you would want to go. We love how close it is to our local Lion's Park with covered meeting areas, playground and duck pond.
What makes this property unique
Though the front yard is on a busy street with a fair amount of traffic, the backyard is like it is part of another world. It is secluded and private with several large trees that provide amble shade in the summer. Often we have raccoons, squirrels, possum and owls that visit us as they enjoy the trees. It is relaxing, private, and with plenty of room in the unit.
